Buick Enclave 2013 or 2014? Pricing factor - Please advise

Hi,

I have already narrowed down my buying of Buick Enclave but the fact is I have not even done a test drive yet. I have been checking online quotes, and for the below options, I got the best absolute price from one local dealer. I am still not sure, if that's the best possible price I can get. Please advise.

Plus, Should I get 2013 or 2014? What are the major improvements in 2014 which I really need to look forward to wait? Please advise.

Quote: $43,303 plus tax, tag and $589 admin. fee. with below options on the Leather model (Attached image is the actual options I wanted and requested for a quote). I believe it's all the same.
Options: hit the road package, sunroof, premium audio and trailering package
And
with above and along with "20" wheels" price tag is $45,700 plus tax, tag and $589 admin. fee.

Can't wait to hear from you all. Thank you in advance!

New Features

(UVF) Forward Collision Alert and Lane Departure Warning
Two additional USB charging-only ports located in the rear of the center console

Changes

(USR) USB port RPO Code has been removed (feature is standard without an RPO Code requirement)

Doesn't sound like too much different. If you can snag a left over 2013, I would do that, might get some price off....but the 2014....being on the ground THIS early....don't expect any discount on those.

Welcome to the forum, there is a bunch of great information here,....and keep us posted with your purchase, and what you end up with getting.

You can be getting the greatest deal ever, but what if you don't like the way the car drives or handles? You mentioned that you haven't driven one yet, but have some prices that you have shopped around for.

I think you may be putting the cart before the horse.

Here is how they book out from the website:

2014 Enclave FWD Leather group with the options you indicated: $50,315

2013 Enclave FWD Leather group with the options you indicated: $49,395 - $1,500=$47,895

the 2014 was built with the forward collision alert and lane departure warning, that's not available on the 2013.

The 2014 does not have the $1500 rebate. If the forward collision alert and lane departure warning is worth $2,420 to you, then get the 2014....otherwise I would say the 2013 would be the better choice. (only talking sticker price vs. sticker price)

If you got a quote for $46,289 (including that admin fee) on the 2014 model, then I would say you should be running to that dealer and signing the paperwork. (after a test drive, of course). On the 2013....still a good deal...just not as huge of one.

Hope this helps.

If you are talking about a 2013 leather, hit the road package, trailering package, sunroof and nav/premium audio, the price quote of $43,303 is a little higher than the price you could get by asking the dealer to match the USAA price (including rebates) of $42,781. You're basically within $500 of the USAA price, which includes a $750 USAA rebate, so your deal is pretty good, but again, not the best you could possibly get.

If in fact the quote you mentioned is for a 2014, and includes everything above + collision avoidance and lane departure, I would say that is an awesome deal. The USAA target price is $45,119.

Good luck.
