Changing Daytime Running Lights

One of my DRLs on my '08 is burnt out. Is it possible to get a replacement bulb and DIY or must you take it to the dealer?

Thanks!

Re: Changing Daytime Running Lights

I was going to answer-- but the enclaves are actual HID I think.
And the DRL's are on the bulbs towards the bottom....

(for the other lambda- the traverse with DRL's on the headlight)- to change the bulbs- you can access the rear of the lamp assembly by removing a few push clips on the wheel weel-- turning the wheel inward- and you can reach into the area where the bulbs are.

2010 FWD LT1-Gold Mist Metallic- seats 8.
Build Date- July 31, 2009-2nd day of Spring Hill 2010 production.

I'm not sure about the 2008's but in the 2010's the DRL bulb is a 3157 and is on the outside of the fog light,You can get to it from inside the fenderwell,5 screws on the side and 2 screws under the front of the plastic inner fender.Very easy to replace

Re: Changing Daytime Running Lights

are these bulbs covered under warranty. How much do they cost? Just noticed my passenger side daytime running light is out. Is it easy to replace?

Re: Changing Daytime Running Lights

What year is your E? I have replaced both of mine with 3157 LEDs. 5 screws per wheel well insert, peal it back with the front tires turned to the opposite direction to gain easy access. Check this thread on page 2 for pics.

It is quite a tight fit. It helps to wedge a piece of short wood or a crescent wrench inbetween the fender and the wheel skirt so you have it always open for access. Glad the posts helped.
