Calling all 100,000 milers

Now that the lambdas have been around for nearly 5 years, and the Enclave nearly 4, there are bound to be some with over 100,000 miles on their odometers. Please chime in about your lambda's performance, reliability, and durability if it has surpassed this milestone.

Wow, I must be really lucky. I have a 6/07 build and I only have 33k miles on her.

Re: Calling all 100,000 milers

My 09/07 built '08 has just under 42,000 miles now. I have owned it for 37.5 months, so I have been averaging about approximately 1,100 miles per month. This matches my mileage pattern on all of my other cars since I moved to NJ in 1998. I guess that my driving needs have remained remarkably steady in recent years. Anyway, at the current pace, it would take about another 4.5 years to hit the 100,000 mile milestone. I guess that I won't be posting a response to this thread's topic for quite some time, too.

Re: Calling all 100,000 milers

I'm with you. We only put 1k miles or maybe a little less per month on our lamdas.

Re: Calling all 100,000 milers

The reason that I was motivated to start this topic was due to another member's recent post in which it was indicated that his lambda had around 98,000 miles on it already. I think he had mentioned that his car was a 2009, so I imagine that there might be some 2007 and 2008 owners that may have already hit the 100,000 mile threshold by now. Hopeful there will be some responses soon so that we can get a better feel for how these cars react to higher mileage.

Re: Calling all 100,000 milers

People will laugh, I have never taken a car to 100,000 miles, other than my old GTO. Every vehicle we've had we take to about 50K-60K (or less, Silverado only had 35K on it when we got the Enclave) and then trade it. I will have to own the Enclave for 15 years to get to 100K based on 6500 miles per year. I plan on keeping it total of 10 years, but if situations dictate...could keep it longer. However, I'm also real interested in seeing how the DI engine performs at 100K and over, just for sake of comparison.

Traded in June 9th 2016: 2009 Enclave CX FWD 8 passenger, silver green metallic, ebony cloth, driver's conf. package, tow package. (Was an order, built July 28th 2008, delivered July 31st 200

Currently have:
2016 Impala 2LT V6, since June 9th 2016

1972 Pontiac GTO. Owned since 1998

The only car that I drove over 100,000 miles was my 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue. I recall getting to a little over 101,600 before I traded the car for my 2006 Subaru Tribeca in order to facilitate our growing carpooling needs.

I had a few go over that 100,000 mile mark.

1968 Plymouth Fury III 135,000 Purchased used with 60,000+ miles on it
1981 Dodge (small hatch back) 110,000 Purchased new
1986 Plymouth Duster 125,000 Purchased new
1995 Nissan pickup truck 101,000 Purchased used with 53,000+ miles on it

Right now, unless husband thinks otherwise, the plan is to keep the VUE for a long time. Has 78,000+ miles on it now and will have the timing chain replaced by my mechanic Ted at around 90-95,000 miles, recommendation is 100,000.

It will be a long time before I reach 100,000 on the Enclave. Here is hopping that I do, problem free as well!
