Driver Side door speaker has Low Volume Click Clack from the Turn Signal..

Hello, We have a 2008 Enclave and I can not hear the click clack for the turn signal. The noise comes from the driverside door speaker. The Dealer has Info on a SPS program with the correct calibrations , if the Click Clack is to Loud. ... Document ID; 2200269------#PIT 4405B.. This is to Calibrate the Radio on: 2008-2009 Enclaves----2009 Chev Traverse----2007-2009 GMC Arcadia & 2007-2009 Saturn Outlook......
Keywords adjust high radio speaker volume...
The Radio will need to be SPS programmed or Reprogrammed with the Correct Calibrations...

The Problem is they claim they do not know how to Increase the Volume.... Which does not make any Sense to Me..... I do have a slight hearing issue, but my wife says that driving on the highway with Radio & A/C Fans ON. The Click Clack in hard to hear....

I would think in some lane changing situations, this could be a Safety Issue... You can Adjust the Door Chime to Normal & Loud, but I can not Adjust the Turn Signal Click Clack....

The Buick Service Manager is trying to be Helpful, but is falling short on Action..

Thanks in Advance for any Info.... Jim A in Florida..

Jim, if my memory serves me correctly, the blinker noise that does come from the drivers side speaker is controlled through the DIC. When you go into the programming options for the DIC, you will see "CHIME" or something like that and you have a few volume choices...check that setting and see if it's set to NORMAL or HIGH. If it is, then you have another issue but this setting controls many of the "noises" the vehicle makes and this may be your solution. Let us know what you find.

Re: Driver Side door speaker has Low Volume Click Clack from the Turn Signal..

Hello All, The Dealer tried that, I had also tried, that loud or normal adjustment just makes the chime louder. It is seperate from the turn signal click clack... They can adjust the click clack the turn signal makes from loud to a normal volume . It is controled thur a Radio procedure or program... But they will not adjust it the turn signal to a loud setting. I guess it is not a default setting and GM may have a issue setting it to Loud. Some have had the Radio preplaced and if it is not programmed correct it will be Loud. They will Correct the Loud Click Clack noise, but not the other way. Maybe I can find the wires to the Green Signal Lite or the Mirrors Lite and add a small optional noise maker from Radio Shack.... I did that to a Peterbilt Truck we had.....
Thanks for getting back, Jim Auth
