My latest UOA.
Down to 50% OLM.
drained 4.5 qts out of 5.5
Im still using my favorite- regular cheap Valvoline Dino 5W-30 that I buy at Wal Mart for $16 and the PF-48 also available at Wal Mart.

this oil say use during June, July, August- daily commutes.- 3000 miles worth.
The last 2000 miles was my trip from Los Angeles to Denver for Labor day.

I did use L3,L4,L5 to climb the Rockies- and to use the engine braking going down the hill.

I did this UOA- to monitor for elevated iron-- which could point to a timing chain issue...
But appears theres nothing to worry about.

Those are very comforting numbers. I wonder if your driving style has led to your consistently impressive UOAs with conventional Valvoline? I would love to see what your UOAs might look like with Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra.

A lot of the thanks probably goes to the Valvoline. I've always heard from experienced engine mechanics that Valvoline is a good oil. It would be interesting to see rbarrios run Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra through once and be able to compare the difference to all of the previous Valvoline results..........
