In a way, I am really enjoying this Toyota mess.  Those fools refused to fix an obvious rust spot caused by the installer in the factory nicking the paint behind the window trim molding.  A $300 fix cost them a lot more in the long run.  I told them that, too.  That Tundra will probably be my last Toyota.  Besides, our Toyota dealer service dept sucks.

My in-laws have complained over the years that their Toyota dealers have generally had below average service departments.

Our local Toyota dealership is HORRIBLE!  They are REALLY eager to sell parts and service that people could generally do without.  When people find out about that after the fact it upsets them and makes them less likely to return.  I would say a poor service department is the beginning of the end for me when I consider where I'm going to put my money for a car.

Yes - Toyota parts ARE more expensive than Ford or GM parts.  I encountered this with my Highlander.  Labor rates are similar from what I could tell.
