I've put together this chart to help keep track of month to month sales on the Lambdas. This is a 13 month running total so we can see year over year sales numbers as well.

Sales Graph for the current year:
Vehicle   Jan      Feb   Mar    Apr  May  Jun  Jul  Aug  Sept  Oct  Nov  Dec  Model Sales (YTD)  Total (All Time)
Acadia 5,7237,5476,4186,9126,9266,28510,4246,4915,287---62,013323,333
Enclave4,3475,1994,8995,2304,3234,0066,1455,3874,868---44,404216,972
Traverse8,6059,5338,2309,6667,2066,78714,28311,2817,873---83,464290,738

Just for kicks, I took the total production for Enclaves, 124,995 and then divided 4,511 (total Enclave forum members) by the total production Enclaves, and got a figure of 3.6%, that represents total percentage of Enclave owners who are on this forum.  That's a very small number.  But yet, we seem to think that all the people that post problems represents the majority, or at least a good percentage, when in reality it's only a part of the 3.6% of members.  Not to say there aren't those with problems that don't visit here, but most who are internet savy will look for a forum when they have issues, then post their first post explaining an issue.  Just kind of interesting.

EDIT: more interesting figures:

Acadia forum members: 5.4%
Traverse forum members: 0.75%
Outlook forum members: 1.6%

Total forum members: 17,524
Total Lambdas sold: 515,348
Total Lambda "owners" on the forums: 3.4%

There is some margin for error, since there are forum members who don't own the vehicle for which the forum is about.  Case in point, I'm on all 4 forums, as are several others.  But just as a round about idea, it's interesting to see how few of total owners are actually on the forums.  Not meaning to point out anthing negative, but just goes to show we are a small select group, and we don't make up enough to be representative in gauging how many people have problem vehicles or not, or any other poll information, for which I've set up several myself.   Undecided

I think there are a lot of Enclave owners out there that don't know about the forum. I bought my Enclave in November 2007 and only stumbled across the forum in Sept/Oct of 2009. I lurked for about a month before I joined. I missed almost two years worth of helpful/valuable information.

It would be great if Buick/GM would somehow advertise the forum. But, they might be reluctant since a lot of discussion is about problem resolution. This may give a negative slant to Enclave reliability, however there is a lot of positive information and enthusiam in the posts.

In a roundabout way, GM has actually promoted at least acadiaforum.net. As an Acadia owner, we get a quarterly "GMC Magazine", produced by GM (I assume Buick owners get something similar.). Each issue, they have an article that highlights an Acadia owner, with pics and an interview. For the past year, every single one of these has been an acadiaforum.net moderator! And in several of them, they have mentioned the forum as a great place to find information on the Acadia! Maybe we should try to get that going for Enclaves also Smiley

However, let me once again reiterate that my forums are in no way owned by, supported by, or in any other way associated with GM. I have personally declined to be interviewed for their magazine for the sole reason of not appearing to be supported or sponsored in any way by GM. I'm just a regular joe citizen who happened to buy an Acadia and see a void in Lambda discussion forums that I filled.

ADMIN. Thanks for the feedback. Knowing how the forums started and their relationship to GM is very helpful. I'll keep my eyes open for any future information from Buick.

MRBUICK

Speak for yourself, MRBUICK. I am getting a lot of compensation from GM to actively say only great things about their cars on this forum.  >Cheesy

Only kidding!  Happy  BTW, I wish that I could add only good comments here, but I have some critical things to say sometimes, especially when something is not working properly with my Enclave.  Sad

Sales chart updated for March. Almost 20,000 Lambdas sold WITHOUT the Outlook! That's very impressive.

I was trying to figure out why the Acadia's surged in Jan and Feb then it dawned on me they had the other engine now. 3.6L V-6 VVT DI (LLT)

I suspect a few people traded in and returned leases on their 07's

The DI engine alone is good enough reason to consider trading in an '07 or '08 lambda.

Enclave seems to be on a slow, but steady climb.
Traverse seem to be taking some of Acadia's sales.

It looks a though the Traverse may pass the Enclave in total sales after May's results. Maybe the Enclave can hold it off for one more month. It will likely be close.

The Traverse really picked up its sales numbers in May! The Enclave's sales increase is relatively minor by comparison. Now that the Enclave is back in last place in total sales of current production models, I can refocus on the "exclusivity factor" of the Enclave again.  Grin

Sales chart updated for June. At this pace, GM is on track to sell nearly a quarter million Lambdas in 2010!

Where are all of these sales coming.  Tahoe-Yukon or foreign.  It is really nice to see that Enclave and Acadia seem to be flat even with the Traverse selling so well.
