They told me that I need to get the reprogramming done to clear the recall on the liftgate thru the dealer, then they will process my $54.00 for the gas struts expense. Still skittish about having that reprogramming done. Is it worth it to have it done, then have issues with the liftgate or just leave it alone
Last word from Buick/Lansing yesterday : the check is in the mail for my reimbursement!! NICE!
I'll believe it when I see it/ have it my hands.

I ran the vin on my 2013 Enclave at NHTSA and it doesn't show this recall
Doesn't show any of my previous recall either. I had a few of them

Lifetgate Recall Part and DIY repair

Is it possible to get a link for how to repair the "strut" for the lift gate, and the "Strut"part number.. I'm taking mine to the Chevy dealership I bought my 2011 Enclave from for the recall and I've got a "engine" light that came on the other day" , Im sure their service Dept, will wanna rape me to do the fix, "It's currently making a hard snap as the liftgate is rising, but not as its going down"" I realize this is an old post but any help would be greatly appreciated

How did you make out Nick? You can always go to Autozone or somewhere similar, and they can read the check engine light codes, then you can be well prepared to do battle with the dealer when they try to rip you off doing something totally unrelated. Or you can ask advice on here and save $$$. Go to any auto parts website and you can get the strut part numbers right there. Usually they are different for left side right side.
