Front blower motor

I am having an issue with removing the blower.
I have pulled the tab and turned but it only turns so far and stops when trying to remove it.I definetly know it’s being turn the right way.anyone have any suggestions on what i might be doing wrong?

Theres a tab.
Pretty much you lift tab and turn about 1/4 turn if I remember correctly and it drops

2010 FWD LT1-Gold Mist Metallic- seats 8

Did you figure it out?
I had the same issue. Found out there is a washer on the blower motor. Just pop it off and pull the black piece out.
