  1. Enclave Misfire

    Engine & Drivetrain
Ditto- I now have code P2179 (and ONLY P2179) constantly setting with a subtle but noticeable misfire near and at idle. 2009 CXL
  2. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
Awesome! Glad it worked out for you too- I love my folding mirrors (I don't use them too often, but when I do I love them). When I first starting looking into replacement mirrors, I thought for sure there was no way around buying a $150 mirror and then having to pay to get it painted. But for...
  3. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
Not sure- I'd have to look up the procedure again to be sure but this post my help (http://www.enclaveforum.net/index.php?topic=8549.0). My advice though is skip all that by just dismantling the mirror while on the car. You start by popping the mirror off of the motor assembly (this part sucks...
  4. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
You should be fine- I went through the same thing when looking for a mirror on ebay and I believe the notable difference is that the power fold mirror has two wiring harnesses and connectors where the non-power folding mirrors typically just have the one. I checked my wiring diagrams and it...
  5. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
And I love the fact that I'm able to help others- I've received so much help over the years from so many forums that it feels great to give back for a change!

Feel free to post here or contact me if you have any questions or need any help @cfedor!
  7. Brake Warning Light

    Brakes, Suspension, Wheels & Tires
Just wanted to post an update- roads have been pretty dry here since the issue happened last, but we got some rain/snow today and wouldn't you know it- the brake warning light came on! Once again, playing with the e-brake helped silence it (though only temporarily) so it looks like there is a...
  8. NAV disc spin-up when opening doors

    Audio, Video & Nav
@ccaats- sorry to revive your 9 year old question, but I felt bad that no one ever replied and I have a little experience with this same phenomena so I figured I'd reply is case you were still active on the forums. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is the result of the open door causing the...
  9. enclave 2011 driver/passenger side A/C blow the opposite air

    Interior & Electrical
I'm sure you've gotten it fixed by now, but in case you haven't... I had what I think was a similar issue about a year and a half ago. I did some diagnosing and was able to track it to a bad HVAC mode door actuator. I'm assuming you have automatic dual zone (or tri-zone if you have the rear...
  10. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
You're very welcome- for all the "lurking" I do on the Internet, getting ideas and tips from others on how to fix things, it's been nice to give back for a change! I had a forum member ask me that very question over PM- I tried to find the response I sent him, but can't seem to find it...
  11. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
Thanks sklunk! And an excellent point about the motor- not sure if GM doesn't want anyone going that far into repairing the mirror, or if they just want you to buy a whole mirror for $$. It honestly isn't that hard to repair, but you will need a donor mirror/part. I thought I had read somewhere...
  12. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
    As promised!! (PDF below)
  13. Repairing a power folding mirror (with pics)

    Body / Exterior
Before I attempted this, I searched and searched and didn't see anything on this forum (I don't recall much on the other Lamba forums either) whereby someone disassembled one of the side view mirrors to repair the power folding function. I know that there are plenty of people in the same boat I...

  15. Anyone upgraded to LED bulbs?

    General Tech
From what I'm seeing on their site, most all their bulbs are for non-turn signal use. When you filter it down to turn indicator, they show you the "warning canceller"- i.e. a load resistor. I may be missing something, but it looks like their bulbs by themselves have the same problem as any...
  16. Anyone upgraded to LED bulbs?

    General Tech
That's the tough part- the cutout on the reflector is designed for a 194 socket, so trying to find a socket for a dual filament bulb that fits the same cutout is the first challenge (I'm also a big proponent of never permanently modifying anything on the vehicle unless I have spare to swap back...
  17. Anyone upgraded to LED bulbs?

    General Tech
I know- it think it would look awesome!
  18. Anyone upgraded to LED bulbs?

    General Tech
Just as a teaser- I'm hoping to do some modifications that allow the use of LEDs without slapping resistors in there (I personally don't care for using resistors to make up the difference in load). One idea I have is to integrate the DRL lights and turn signals (since I like to use amber bulbs...
  19. Anyone upgraded to LED bulbs?

    General Tech
Yep- those look like the same ones I bought on eBay. I hope to post more info soon, but long story short is yes they fit, yes they are just as bright as the factory bulb, but no they don't fool the BCM- it will go into "bulb out" mode with a rapid flash.
  20. 2009 Spark Plugs - Correct Part Number?

    General Tech
Thank you both for the replies! I was leaning towards the Iridiums because people seem to swear by the NGK plugs. Like gig229 said, it sounds like the AC Delco plugs are actually manufactured by NGK, so I should be good there. I've been leery of platinum plugs ever since reading one story after...
