I have an 09 Enclave. In December of 2015 with 119K miles, I had a timing chain problem. That repair was covered by a "special" extended warrantee of GM due to this being a known problem with this model year. Currently,16 months and 24K miles later..... guess what..... timing chain problems again. GM is NOT covering this repair 100% because it is beyond 12 months from the initial repair.

I don't think that 24,000 miles is acceptable foe the life of a timing chain. Am I wrong??

Has anyone else had this experience and have you had any luck with getting it covered the second time by GM??

I also have a timing chain issue... a security bolt worked itself out of the back of the left exaust cam phaser and chewed up the head casting and in turn took out the valves wrecking the engine. Anyone else with similar experience. I can't get the engine to turn over all the way... there's a audible clunk each direction down below. Cylinders all moved freely
