I had to drive my wife to her doctors appointment yesterday, only 65 miles away, so I stopped in at my "Local" Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac dealer for an Enclave brochure. When I asked the salesperson who first pounced on me for the brochure, she hesitated and asked me if it was a Chevy or a GMC, and that they didn't sell GMC. Great start!
After explaining what the vehicle was, she started looking in the back for one and asking others. She finally came out with a spiral bound pamphlet that I could look at but not take as it was to be their training manual.
She told me that her manager, who didn't come out to talk even with an empty showroom, said that they aren't available but I could price one.
I was going to have her ask the boss if he had already placed an order for one of the first 6,000 dealer commitments, but I just walked out.
I guess if I want to buy, I'll have to make the 110 mile drive to Vegas.
Such is life in the 'boondocks'
