I'm not sure if anyone else this issue but I'm wondering if someone can give me any insight or a better fix for my Enclave.
Just recently my AC and Heat have stopped working/blowing in the front, but it works perfectly fine in the 2nd and 3rd rows. I have been googling stuff and converdating with my dad about the issues an he seems think that i might need a Control Head part which after talking to the dealer they said would run me $300 and I dont wanna throw away money on that if its not needed. Anyone got any tips or suggestions of things for me to try or look at/for on my truck? Any help is greatly appreciated

Do you mean that cold/hot air is blowing in the rear vents but nothing in the front vents? If so it could be the blower motor. When this happened to me I put my hand in and turned the fan and it started working again - the fan just got stuck.
Search here about this to get pics but you need to drop the glove box to get to it.
2nd and 3rd rows- have their own fan blower (AC/heater parts) in the rear- by the tailgate.
If your FRONT is not blowing any air.
it could be the blower. New blowers are about $45 on ebay.
Replacing the blower- takes about 10-15 minutes. requires a couple of screws to be removed- and then you twist and turn the blower- and out it comes.
If you DO have air--- but its not the correct air for the setting you have--- it could be one of the actuators. about $30 on ebay/amazon.
and can be replaced with a little bit of work in accesing them.. depending on small your hands are.

The air whether it's heat or AC does NOT blow in the front what so ever. It just makes a noise from within the engine. So I'm thinking you may be on to something.

Sorry to hear about the concern you are experiencing with your air. If there is anything we can do to be of assistance regarding this matter please do not hesitate to reach out via PM with your full contact information, VIN, current mileage, and involved dealership.
Does it matter if I bought it from a Buick dealership? An I just noticed today that when I turn it on the area within/behind the dash makes a rrrrr-ing sound so maybe I do need a new fan or mayve clean off the fan

Remove the glovebox (its a 2 min procedure) and work your hand down to the fan (make sure the AC is turned off but there is not hand danger with the unit) - move the fan motor around with your hand back and forth to see if its just stuck. Turn the AC on and see if it spins.
The blower fan is like a gerbil wheel with slots to push air. Its not a blade so you dont have to worry about getting cut.
If the fan still doesnt turn then you can remove the blower motor/fan and easily replace it.
To get an idea where the fan is look in the footwell under the glove box. You will see a black plastic cover with a circular indentation - that is where the blower motor sits and the fan blade is on top of that.
heres the fan from my 2010 Traverse.
It works. I just happen to take it off--well because-- I was curious.
I happen to be replacing one of the actuators.. and was down there so popped it off
It does not matter if your purchased your Buick from a Buick dealership. In order for us to assist you, the repair would have to be done at your Buick dealership. I see you have received tons of input from the members. If you decide to have your Buick dealership look into this, please reach out to us via private message.
The AC/heat fan blower just went dead on my 2008 Enclave. There are a lot of threads here about this issue going back years. In another thread somewhere was posted a YouTube video showing exactly what my problem was. Water is leaking into and pooling around the fan blower and destroying the blower. The video shows how to remove the blower in 5 minutes time. I took mine out and found the blower in a pool of water and it was severely corroded.
I'm not allowed to post links but just search YouTube for "Buick Enclave water leak problem"
The dealer wants $152 for the motor but I just ordered one from Amazon for $50. Why should I pay $152 if I'm going to have to replace it again in the near future??
Erica Tiffany from Buick Customer Care, can you tell us if this water leak problem is a known documented problem for this vehicle, and has Buick found a solution to fix the leak??? I would think this problem (no heat or AC) would be at the seriousness level of a recall.
That is what just happened to me 2 weeks ago. Bottom recessed cover was full of water and drowned my fan motor and it didn't work, was totally shot dead.
I drilled a small hole on the bottom of the plastic cover below the blower. I would rather have water drip on the passengers feet than have the blower sit in a pool of water.

Yes I do have Weathertech floor mats! They will do a nice job of catching the dripping water and hopefully that will save the blower from dieing again.

I know that yours is a simple DIY approach, but it is just sad that you've been driven to doing this because of some flaw in the Enclave's design. How is it that some Enclaves are not water right? It is hard to believe that this situation exists in the 21st century automotive world. :sosad:
Before replacing the motor, I would drip a few drops of light oil onto the shaft of the blower motor, work it loose and try it again. I fixed my neighbor's 2008 Saturn this way last year, been working fine ever since.
I have an '08 CXL AWD with 70K+ miles, and I just replaced my blower motor yesterday. Noticed last week that I had cool vents (with my hand right up to the vent), but no blowing from the fan at all.
I looked at the YouTube videos, and saw that it was an easy fix. Found a motor on line for $58 delivered, and the whole job took maybe 15 minutes.
In one of the videos, the guy making the video shows how to clean/clear the A/C evaporation hose, using about 35psi of compressed air. I did what the video showed, but I also drilled a drain hole in the bottom of the housing/cover, to be sure I don't drown another motor.
If there is water in the fan two most likely places it came from are the drains in your sunroof and skylight window. I have spent over 3000 to, repair these tubes and having the car stripped clean of water. Supposedly mostly labor they say. This has been a constant issue since day 1 for me.. Since my last summer purchase. They said this issue is from me opening my sunroof, since leaves and debris can get inside and cause a back up in the drain. Funny thing is I park my car in a garage, and at work there isn,t a tree near my car for almost a mile. And i have never opened my sunroof. EVER.. And apparently it is my fault. Ummmm okay. Lol.. Its a 2008 buick enclave cxl. And now my fan blower in the front will not work either?. Can someone be as so kind to send me the link to order the new fan for myself order. I may a girl but I love fixing things.. Kind regards

once you find the part #--- try amazon and Ebay.
Ive seen them for about $50.
But replacing the blower motor is actually quite easy.
You have to remove a plastic panel under the glove box--- I cant remember if theyre screws or push tabs..
then you should be able to see the blower motor cover.
It may have 1 screw that you have to remove- then unplug the harness--
and then you should be able to turn the the blower motor assembly about 1/4 turn.. and it drops down.
