Recently my radio screen started flickering with screen-wide flickering orangish lines. This happens before I insert the key and while driving. The flickering lines cross the entire width of screen making all else ineligible. If I tap the screen it stops. The radio is original and without anything fancy. It is not a touch screen. Wondering if its a fuse issue or ??

Welcome, David. Since the flickering stops when you tap the screen, it sounds like a loose connection. There may be connectors behind the glovebox.

Thanks, I have a 2012. I read that is where the cabin filter is too. I will explore. May be due to the extremely poor State managed road conditions here in Bay Area Calif. Oof, my kidneys
