So, 5 seconds after starting the engine my display tells me the engine is too hot switching off A/C but the temp gauge is still down by the “C”. Radiator is full and the water pump pulley spins when the engine is running. I changed out the water pump 3 months ago and no issues until now. Car is driven daily. I’m leaning towards the temp sensor??? Any ideas/knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

I did not have the same issue but my heat shield on the coolant temperature sensor was broken causing it to melt off. I used this video to change it. I also had to change the wire to the sensor and it was pain in the b. Its an easy job!

Check fuse box for water under passenger foot well. Sunroof drain gets clogged and causes all kinds of issues.

Probably NOT an issue, but make sure the thermostat isn't stuck shut.
