Hello All,

Finally after 5 months, 100s of hours of online research and forum participation and unlimited amount of decision changes, we have finally gotten our Enclave! We picked it up last saturday from Port Jefferson, (PBG) dealership.

It's a Red Jewel AWD - CXL, with Luxury, Driver Confidence, Trailer packages, Moon Roof, Entertainment Pk #4, 7 Passenger, Ebony Interior (yes GMoney it rocks!). The only other thing I wanted to get and didnt get is the 19" Chrome wheels.

So far, I love it, I love it, I love it.!!! It is pretty amazing, there have been many a-ha moments, since it has tons of cool features such as the fading dome lights.

I am going through the manual and it is pretty thick but its great, since the dealer didn't know about a lots of buttons and features, still need to learn all the options on the DVD/NAV panel.

I really wanted to get the 19" chrome wheels, but after seeing the standard wheels I am not missing the chromes at all.

I would have not selected Articulating Headlights if offered as a separate option, BUT, tell you what, it is pretty amazing and I am glad that it is part of the Lux package, hence it is included. I had probably opt out for the Ultrasonic park assist also, since the camera is included with NAV, but that is also a very handy tool. I was backing up this afternoon and looking in the camera the coast was clear, but the parking nanny came in and alerted me of something, then I noticed there was a flower pot that my wife had in the driveway, it was kind of blend in on the screen I didnt notice it there.

By the way, almost everyone coming in from the opposite direction on the local street flash his hi-beam to indicate I m running hi-beams as well, so I responded to them by turning on my hi-beam as well ;D

Yesterday, after owing for less than 24 hours, we arrived at Costco, as I pulled in to a parking spot, a lady from a Ford Expedition waved and asked whether I liked it or not, and can it accommodate 7/8 passenger. She was asking what is it, before my answer, her teenage daughter rolled down her window and asked "Is this the Enclave" upon which my 5 year old replied yes it is "Buick Enclave" (good job buick bringing younger people to the brand!)

We love the Red Jewel, it stands out very well in a neighborhood heavily populated with White cars (included mine).

The fuel economy has still not proven yet. I have about 380 miles on it already, well about 240+ were dealer's since he drove it down from somewhere near Boston.

At last I am so glad that we went with the Enclave, during the course, I tested Q7, Veracruz, Pilot, CX-9 and 2008 Highlander. But Enclave has something little extra that just thumb all others down.

Hey Congratulations!

You've been on this site for a long time. From some of your posts, I thought you might give up and just take something else that was readily available. Now just like that, you got one already. Glad you love it. That makes everything OK in the end. Supposedly, our Enclave is in transit now. Was expecting it Friday or Saturday but nothing so hopefully this week. My wife can't wait for it to get here.
I'm sure we'll be just as excited.

Well I was about the give up, we tested the 2008 Highlander loaded up with every option available, the ride was very nice, the pickup is great, it shoots like a car I was surprised to see such a pickup from a Toyota, you know Toyotas and Buicks have the same DNA, I could include Volvo in it too. The interior is nicely equipped, but one big problem is that the 3rd row doesnt split, which is very stupid design, the other thing I didnt like was he 2nd row center seat, it is impractical to put an adult in there, and there is no way you can fit a child seat. So it is waste and the consumers will have to pay for it, since it is standard on all models. Another great idea that Toyota had was they do not have Black Interior with the limited model, you can only get Black with Sports model, which is below Limited. And the price!!!! since it was delivered to the dealer the very same day I test drove it, he was asking sticker i.e, $42,770. And by the way there is no option of Memory Seat!!!

Anyways back to the topic, we were going back and forth with the dealer who couldn't find any other dealer to swap the White Opal he had with a Red Jewel we wanted. Finally I spoke with one dealer up in MA if he is willing to do that, the deal went through, and I am driving it.

Thanks all, I am glad that we held on. There is nothing quite like Enclave in the 7 passenger category yet! Except the copies like Acadia or Outlook :p
