I agree with VicChic and Buick59, however weird these names are. It shows tremendous ignorance to make a comment like "American cars are crap". The same goes for saying that about Japanese or British or whatever (especially in this age of so much information sharing). People would not buy a American car like the Dodge Stealth (built in Japan) but would prefer something like the Honda Civic (like the ones that are built in Kansas City)? Another strange comment is "Oh, I know someone who bought one of those and they had problems". Well Duh. These things have thousands of parts...there will be service issues from time to time. I have had a BMW 528 and spent 9 months with an engine light on that they just couldn't figure out ($72,000 CDN). My Mercedes convertible had the fake wood trim pop out and exposed itself as some kind of tin made to look like wood ($89,000 CDN). My Ford Explorer (that I just sold as I wait for my Enclave) had 0 problems...like 0. Others will say the Explorer sucks and the German cars are the best. From what I have seen, only KIA (Korean for K-Mart) still make cars that don't seem to last long but even they will get better if they sustain growth and invest in their product. The Enclave is gorgeous and can hold it's own against any product in it's class. The dealers are not thinking about long-term or repeat customers. Trying to squeeze a few tousand here and there will make you never want to go back and certainly not recommend them. They forget we talk...especially now they have the internet on computers! You know at Christmas time when there is that hard to get toy and people are trying to sell it on Ebay for twice the price? I always hope some of them get stuck with them so they learn a lesson in greed. Not good for dealers that we are thinking this way about them.
Okay I'm done. Sorry for rambling.
