Placed my order today w/ $1000 down. $200 under invoice. CXL AWD, Cocoa w/ Cashmere, towing, ent #4 and driver convenience. I didn't take the luxury package since it sounds like I'd get it sooner without.

Order shows priority 2. Anyone know what that means? I see other mentions of Priority 1. No estimate from my dealer on delivery date.
I just ordered my Enclave today!! :blob: Gold Mist Metallic, Cashmere leather, FWD, CXL, Luxury package, Entertainment package #1, Confidence package, sunroof/skylight. The saleman said I should have it in 6 to 8 weeks...so, I'm hoping for October 1st. We'll see. He told me he had just checked and they had an allotment for ONE luxury package. I hope that is true and it really will be done within the two months. I know that is wishful thinking, but I'm hoping! ;) I think I got a pretty good deal at $500 over invoice, plus $10 grand for my Rendezvous (the milage is just over 75,000 and they will honor that price even if there's a longer wait on the car! ) Plus my GM earnings. I'm so excited and can't wait for it to get here! He said he would keep me posted on where it is in the assembly process. I WANT MY ENCLAVE!! :banghead:

Ordered CXL AWD Cocoa/ebony. Lux, conf, ent#4, towing, sunroof, 500 over invoice with 0 down, no deposit.

I guess he trusts me.

I won't let him down. The miles on my FX35 are creeping toward 100k
My first post here but I have been lurching quite a bit to research the vehicle.

Anyways, we placed our order Thursday August 2nd after striking out on a couple dealer trades. We had originally included the luxury package on the order. After reviewing our order, we decided for what you got with the package that it wasnt worth the money to us. So I called Monday Aug 6th and had that removed from the order.

So our salesman calls me today and informs me that another vehicle we were tracking at a dealer sold and therefor was not available for trade but our order had been accepted at the plant already . So it was less than a week for us to place our order and have it accepted into the assembly plants system .

He was quite suprised and mentioned our order was moved up on his dealers priority list since it did not have the luxury package on the order and they are limited to how many they can order with the luxury package.

Not to burst your bubble, but "accepted" just means they have the order. It will need to be placed in line with the other "accepted" orders that are waiting to be built. With the 3rd shift coming on at the end of August, you won't have to wait as long as some of us has!
I realize that, but we were told that it has been taking them several weeks before they would even accept the orders along with others saying that online.
My order was "accepted" early and it was delivered in 6 weeks. No luxury package on my CX so you may get a pleasant surprise.

And welcome to the forum. :welcome:
After much research - we took the big step and ordered our Enclave on August 8th.

We ordered a Dark Crimsom Metallic CX./Ebony interior and expect a wait of approximately 10 - 12 weeks.
Got a call from our dealer today and he informed us that our Enclave is scheduled to be built the first week of Spetember. He was quite surprised. We're hoping ours isnt one of the first vehicles all the new third shifters build and learn on.
jerlem1,
I'm really  for you! And at the same time, there are a bunch of us that read this and could just scream. ticner58 has been waiting on his order since April and still has not gotten a build date yet. I ordered 7/27 and not only has my status code of 1100 not changed, but in the last 2 weeks, the dealer has seen fit to put my order in reverse (if that's even possible) by downgrading the priority of our sold order from 2 to 3.

Clearly, you hit it "right" finding a dealer who had an allocation available. Even those of us who have learned a lot about how this "game" is played have not been very successful. Today, I'm about to do the most extensive search yet that I hope might reveal some insight into just WHO the larger dealers are in my area. Because it's Saturday, I'm not going to bother to try and call -- I'm either going to email the owner or GM or I will call them on Monday hoping to find out this most important information:

1. how many 'claves on order do you have?
2. how many 'claves are you allocated a month?
3. will you use an allocation with an order I'd like to place @ Supplier price?
4. will you give that order top P1 sold priority in VOMS?

I have no idea of how successful I'll be -- but since my dealer has clearly said now that it will be September before my order is accepted using one of his allocation slots, what have I really got to lose?

Ordered August 2nd Gold Mist, CXL, 7 passenger, DVD entertainment, driver confidence, and luxury package, 19" chrome, sunroof and skylight, cargo net and shade, trailer towing package. GMS pricing and told 8-10 weeks.

"If they build it, it will come."
:dancing: WooHoo! Well, we finally ordered today and are so excited. CXL AWD, Red Jewel, Cocoa/Cashmere, Luxury, Drivers Conf, Sunroof, Trailering, Entertainment #4 and Chrome Wheels. Let me tell you about our interesting experience.

I had talked to the first Buick salesman we had met with at the nearest Buick dealership in Hoover about a month ago to confirm that they would honor supplier pricing on a special order. He was a "nice" older man, and I felt comfortable with his honesty, although I was a little concerned by his "lack of knowledge" of the vehicle and possibly of the ordering system. He had indicated they would honor GMS pricing on an order and required a (non-refundable) $1000 deposit, which I wasn't thrilled about. We got away MUCH later than we wanted to today and took all 4 kids and headed straight to this dealership (a Buick ONLY dealership for GM co-housed with a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealership). I was wanting to get a straight answer as to their allotments and hopefully place our order. Well, we drove up at 5 PM and there were 3 salesman outside delivering vehicles to new customers. We walked up to the door and it was locked! I turned around to the nearest salesman and said "closed, at 5 PM on a Saturday?!?!" He responded that 8 hours is more than enough time to work and blew me off. I made the comment to him and the other salesmen around that we had intended to possibly special order an Enclave today, but guess we wouldn't be able to now. NO ONE made any effort to get our contact information, ask any questions, or express ANY interest whatsoever to gain our business or follow up with us next week. I couldn't help but remember the comments on here of how clueless Buick dealerships are going to RUIN this home-run for GM. We were completely ignored, so.....off we went.

I then called the next closest Buick dealership (a multi-car dealership in downtown Birmingham with Buick/Pontiac/GMC/Chevrolet, as well as Nissan, Saab and Jaguar) and they were open to 6PM. We drove in at 5:20 PM and were greeted by the receptionist who said they were "short handed" on the Buick side, but called for a salesman. We were greeted promptly by a salesman from the Nissan side of the dealership and immediately our experience changed. He explained to us that his boss, the general manager of the Nissan side, had just taken over as manager of the Buick/Pontiac/GMC side of the business. I immediately began inquiring about their "available allotments" and what I new about the VOMS system and codes and he didn't seemed at all intimidated by my knowledge. He checked with the manager and indicated that they would predict a 90 day turnaround from order to delivery (12 weeks) and that they would be able to get my order into GM (at code 2000) on the 1st ordering day of September (4th). Their deposit was only $500 and fully refundable with no questions, so I was beginning to feel much better. I explained to him that I would expect a printout of the GM VOMS the 1st week of September showing our order at code 2000, and he indicated that would be no problem. We gave him our GMS pricing printout and he made a copy of it and our GMS authorization code. They are to enter our order in their system on Monday and send us a printout of our order to sign and confirm in writing the GMS pricing. I will take them our deposit check then. Before we walked out, the salesman came back to me and said that his boss had indicated to him that they received word from their GM rep last week that they should be getting some additional allocation slots and so it was very possible they could get my order to code 2000 earlier than the first of September. This corresponded exactly to what I had heard on this board, and since I hadn't even mentioned it to them, I was glad to hear "confirmation" from them of what I had heard here. I feel confident that due to their status as a large volume GM dealer in downtown Birmingham, that we will have the best chance of getting into the GM VOMS as soon as possible with this dealer. I also feel that with their experience from the Nissan side, they probably will be MUCH better "communicators" than the "old guard" at that smaller Buick only dealership. I always believe that things happen for a reason, and I feel very happy with our decision to order from this dealership (Jim Burke Automotive in Birmingham). I will keep everyone informed of our progress!

Signed my order and delivered $500 hold check to dealer today :thumb: Dealer told me that the Luxury Package Allocation Slots were distributed "nationally" and that this week there were about 3 times as many as last week. Proof of what we have heard on this board of "additional allocation slots" being made available last week. He indicated to me that he had 4 orders for stock(waiting to be accepted by GM) with the luxury package and that he would remove the luxury code from them and allow my order to be accepted into his available luxury slot for this week(available tomorrow). He was very nice and we chatted for about 30 mins, and I feel that he is telling me the truth. I should have a faxed/email copy of my order showing code 2000 in a few days if I am lucky. I would be happy being at code 2000 at least by 1st of September, but I am very excited that things may move quicker.

Sounds like you have a good honest dealer....keep him honest :thumb: Congrats!
I ordered my CXL AWD Opal White/Cashmere last week (8/15, to be exact) and the very next day my salesperson called to tell me my order had moved to status code 2000, and that she estimated a delivery time of 6 weeks. That would put it at the end of September. I ordered the Confidence Pkg., Trailering Pkg., and Entertainment Pkg. #3. :thumb:
I heard from my dealer today...remember, I ordered my Enclave on August 1st. I am at 2000. With delay for the luxury package. I am disappointed, but not surprised. I like the dealership AND the salesman, so I will just wait patiently. Since most everyone is having this problem, there is no sense in blaming anyone in particular, is there? Hopefully, the constraints will be lifted soon. I have a friend who works for Toyota, and he says these things happen all the time.

Sooooooooo, here I am patiently waiting for "Blue Sapphire"... :whip: :comfort:
