I;ll have to describe this noise second hand because my ability to hear high-pitched noises is shot.

My wife says that after the engine is started, there is a soft, high-pitched and not loud beeping sound from behind the center of the dash. The beeping lasts for 2 to 3 minutes and goes away until the engine is shut off and restarted.

Any ideas?

1st thing that comes to mind is the possibility of the fan in the upper model trim radios....

Rbarrios, thank you for the reply,

To describe the sound a little better, the "beeping" heard sounds like a the sound a touch-tone phone makes but higher pitched.

BTW, new to Enclaves. We just bought this one last week.

So, the radio has a fan? Possibly for an amplifier? My E has nav and the touchscreen.

Hi Paul K.,

We’re sorry to hear of these noise concerns with your newly purchased Enclave. If you would like to work with your local dealership for an official diagnosis, we would be happy to reach out to them on your behalf. Please feel free to send us a private message if we can assist with this process.

:welcome: to the forum, Paul K. The amp is mounted in the left rear fender. I am not sure about the noise you are discribing. Sorry.

Thanks for the welcome.

Well, I was able to hear the noise or at least a lower tone of it due to my hearing loss.
To me it sounds like the noise a CD or DVD player makes when a disc is inserted. But it still does it when there is no CD in the player. I'm thinking it could be HVAC related.

Knowing they can be problematic, I'm thinking the same.

If your Enclave has navigation, could it be the nav disk spinning up?? My navigation disk spins up pretty good now, and its quite audible.

Has anyone noticed that just when you open the drivers door, whether you are actually getting in it or just to get in it to retrieve something, that the disc spins ??? Even without actually putting the key in the ignition or starting your Enclave?

Uncle Buick, Could very well be. This is my first car with NAV so new to me. When I first posted, I was describing what my wife conveyed to me as "beeping" cause I could not hear the high pitched sound. Later I could hear it and it sounds more like a DVD or CD player.

I didn't know the Nav disc stays in the unit.

Having the same issue. 2019 enclave. I had it for few months now. Just now it started beeping loud. High pitch. Sounds like it’s coming from speakers. I made a video while driving if there’s a way to post it. Sometimes it stops and comes back. When I turned the car off there were some static noise coming from the driver speaker. All devices are off. No Bluetooth or anything else connected.

Oil is 4% so it needs to be change soon. Transmission temperature says 185. I don’t know if it is too hot or not and if that is an alarm but no lights or messages from dashboard popped up.

Someone posted something about beeping recently, they disconnected the battery and it still beeped. Turns out it was the EZPass transponder. Who Knew it would beep? Maybe the battery in it is dying and gives an alert. Do you have an EZPass transponder?

No transponders in my case. It is very loud that you can barely stand it. I opened the windows and helped a little bit. When I turned off the engine there was a static noise coming out from my driver side speaker. I took a video if there is a way to post it.

I believe that you need some number of regular posts until you can post a video. Try to post to Youtube and then paste the link here.

Here is the link to the video.
The car is in for service right now. I will update this post if any answers from them. They will contact an engineer cause they never heard about this issue. I am glad I took a video of it.

It is radio related, sound comes from speakers. Not an official answer, but they said it should be the Noise Reduction Module (apparently Buick has a noise reduction system to make the inside quieter). They will change it and I hope this won't happen again. Mine is still under warranty, so free of charge. If the noise comes back, after the fix, they will replace the radio. Factory is aware of the issue.
