We went to our dealership to test drive their first Enclave. It was just like the vehicle we had ordered except it had rear buckets instead of the bench seat. We liked it so much and they gave us a deal within $150 of our original factory order deal so we bought it. We take delivery on Monday or Tuesday.

CXL AWD Cocoa/Cashmere with everything except NAV and rear DVD.

zMAN, Congratulations goes out to you and yours. I believe you will be well pleased and I wish you the best. I went to my dealer today and was told that I can expect the first Enclave to arrive in about two months. I don't believe that. I believe we will have one at my Dealership within the next couple of weeks.
Best of luck to you.:blob:

Some pictures are now in the gallery.

Man, this thing is sweeet. We only have 40 miles on it but I am extremely pleased with everything (except the GM card morons who sent me a card in the mail TODAY good for another $250 off the vehicle starting TOMORROW).

The pictures are amazing. It is good to know the Coca looks exactly the same as in the brochure meaning there was no extreme photoshop work done with the pictures in the brochure.

Still the dealers in New York are sleeping, they haven't got one yet!

Zman - How is the ride, fit and finish of the Enclave compared to Acadia? Could you please post your expirence. Is the rear visiblity better than Acadia?

Also since the engine/transmission is same as Acaida did they have to do any of those Acadia recalls for Airbag, tranny, seats etc?

I am not sure I can compare the Enclave to the Acadia since I drove the Acadia about a month ago. But I can tell you that I am extremely impressed with the build quality of the vehicle. I have not gone through it with a fine toothed comb yet to check panel gaps, etc, but everything looks fabulous as far as I can tell.

I think it rides and handles great. It is very quiet and comfortable. No rattles or squeaks. I love the wood steering wheel. Keep in mind that I am comparing it to a Ford Expedition and Subaru Outback however.

I could not be more happy at this point. My only gripes are that the FM reception seems to be a bit poor and that the side mirror tilt during reverse is a little too much/low IMHO. I have had some radio stations get some static/interference and I am not sure I have ever had that with FM stations in the Minneapolis metro area before. I need to program some XM stations maybe.

I can only guess on rear visibility. To me the rear window seems actually slightly smaller on the Enclave than the Acadia. I don't know if it is or not. I don't imagine that the rear visibility is any better on the Enclave due to this impression. I have only backed up a couple of times and I have not seemed to have any issues, but I also have not been in a store parking lot yet so maybe my opinions will change over time.

I am not sure any of the recalls apply to the Enclave. I was under the impression that all of those updates were implemented prior to my build date of two weeks ago, but I never thought to explicitly ask. Maybe Enclave8j* can comment on this?

The tranny seems to shift fine to me. I do notice that it is very inclined to upshift very early but I would not call the behavior to be any type of hesitation. It is just very predisposed to maximize fuel economy.

In summary, I have never been so stoked about a new vehicle. I know it is only 24 hours but I am feeling ever better about our decision to go with the Lambda's, particularly the Enclave.

My wife and I researched the Outlook and Acadia for 3 months. We test drove both at least twice. While talking to the owner of the dealership about ordering an Acadia, one of his salespersons came in to his office. He told us that she had been to a dealer drive in Atlanta the day before and they had drove the Enclave. They also drove a Lexus, Mercedes, and Cadillac to allow them to compare each. The lady said that the Enclave was much quieter, and difinitely rode better then the rest. She had driven the Acadia several times at the dealership and said the Acadia was not even in the same league as the Enclave. We looked at the huge brochure, went home and discussed it, and called the dealer back about 2 hours later and ordered the Enclave on April 23rd. We can hardly wait!!! We did get the CX model in the Blue Gold Crystal Metallic with the Titamium cloth interior, we're not leather people. Leather is to hot down here in the southeast!!! maybe when they come out with the cooled/heated leather seats. I'm not sure about the tail lights as I figured since the Acaida had the LEDs that the Enclave would also. I did read somewhere that the Enclave has about 1" less headroom in the 3rd row seat, compared to the Acaida, due to the sloped design of the roof.

all...taillamps on Enclave are incandescent...only Acadia has LEDs. zman, all the recalls and updates were done and included on the first Buicks. We are working a recalibration to try to address radio reception. As soon as it's confirmed, and info is out to the dealers, I'll post here...expect within the month.

zman,
Are the steering wheel buttons backlit and readable at night? In the brochure it looks as if they are.
