In late 2005 I started conducting my own car reliability research. I'm reporting absolute stats like "times in the shop" that will make the differences between cars much clearer. Relative ratings obscure too much--how large is the difference between "better than average" and "worse than average"? I’ll also be updating results four times a year, so there will be information on new models sooner.
For example, TrueDelta will have the first reliability information on the Acadia and Outlook, in August. The owner/admin of this forum also owns an outstanding GMC Acadia forum, and I am very grateful for his help informing people about this research.
I hope to similarly start providing reliability information on the Enclave within months of when it goes on sale.
