Just noticed the MSRP increases of $520. Also no more holiday cash of $1,500. The $4,250 Cash purchase price adjustment looks to still be in place. Also if you had the dealer arrange financing (open loan repayable at anytime with major bank) there was another $1,000 which is also gone. So overall a $2,000 ($3,000 if financed) increase if you did not get your order in or take delivery before Jan 10, 2009.

CXL increased from 49,625 to 50,145 Cdn
CX increased from 42,285 to 42,805 Cdn

Option prices and Freight of $1,300 still unchanged

Edit - to denote Cdn and add blurb about financing incentive

Thank goodness, I am glad I decided to take delivery before Jan 10. My car arrived on Jan 2 and I picked up Jan 5. I was contemplating to see if the deal would be better after the current program at the time ended on Jan 10.

I went with bank financing to take advantage of the extra $1,000 so all in all got $6,750 in rebates including Holiday Cash. Bank rate was 7.9% so won't be keeping this loan for too long, went with it just to get the larger incentive. In the end I paid $12K less than MSRP. Very happy campers because overall we love this vehicle.

I wondered how long it was going to take to have this price increase reflect our CDN$$ staying around the .80 - .85 US for months now. I expected it earlier. To bad they didn't price at par a year ago when it was equal.

You paid 12,000 below MSRP how? Did you get the MSRP reduced significantly including all noted discounts?

So if you get invoice pricing can you then apply the cash incentive?

So @ 57,465-51,151-4,250 cash discount therefore about 47,000 + markup is that possible?

I have currently have a line of credit interest of 3.5% I do not think in the current econmy that interest rate is going up over the next 2 years.

I would say very possible if not better. Mind you mine was a custom order and therefore not much room to play. If you are buying off the lot then you may be able to bargain a bit more.

It's a great idea to use your LOC. I have to make the 1st loan payment per agreement. After that I too will pay it off with my HELOC (currently 3.0% after recent rate cut). Yes, many feel these rates won't go up for next 2 years. There were some speculation that Mr Carney would cut rates again in March. I am not sure if that will be the case now since we have been hearing about deflation threat too much lately.

BTW, you may have noticed as IMHIP2 noted the MSRP has gone up (in my case $596 since I ordered). And I am sure you have seen the current cash incentive details below:

Cash Delivery Allowance/Factory to Dealer Rebate $4,500.00 March 2, 2009
The Cash Delivery Allowance/Factory to Dealer Rebate can only be applied to cash purchases and is applied to the before tax amount.

Same here but for 2008 (2009 MSRP with the same equipment was 56620 a 2595 increase at Jan 10)

MSRP 54025 include Freight and Air tax
Holiday (1250) Jan 10 expire
Cdn Price Adj (4250)
Dealer finance (1000) Jan 10 expire
Negotiated (6525)

Total 41000

Total discount 13025

As for line of credit, if it is secured it should currently be at 3% if you are with any the majors. I am doing the same as vmtls and making first payment per agreement and then onto the HELOC.

The new incentive is the Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary, Vancouver etc car show promo where you fill out a survey at the car show and get free maintanence (no idea what is included but this is per CCC now)

IMP

Negotiated is the reduction amount which seems very good.

Was that a miss print with the $2,595 price increase?

So you think there will be a incentive at the Toronto car show? What is CCC?

For mine the increase was as follows:

2008 2009 Diff at Jan 10

CXL 48295 49625 1330
Freight 1220 1300 80
8 pass -675 - 675
DVD 1255 1750 495
Rear shade incl 155 155

Total diff 2735

I think I put the rear shade in a $15 (because that is about what it is worth) to get 2595.

But don't forget the 2009 has the direct injection, rear camera display in the mirror, and bluetooth plus you can order the heated/cooled seats

CCC = Car Cost Canada

Yes the update I received from CCC today had the blurb about maintanence.

Keep the CX in mind as well. Unlike our American friends we can get leather in a CX. I priced an ALMOST fully loaded 2009 CX to have an MSRP of approx 50260 which is about equal to the starting price of the CXL. Invoice is about 45500. By ALMOST full load it would have leather, Bose premium audio, Driver confidence pkg, trailer towing, 2 panel sun roof, remote engine start. (no DVD but MSRP is 1235 with the BOSE option) - it would also have the 18" wheels instead of the 19"

I'm sure either vmtls or I can point you towards a dealer if interested.

Good Luck!

Yes, think about the CX. I just bought a loaded Grand Prix GXP a couple of years ago and cuoldn't justify a CXL to the General (my wife). With options I loaded on 19" wheels, 8-way memory seat, and power foldaway mirrors are the only std equipment differences.

VMTLS,

You mentioned $57,465 with Invoice at $51,151? That is 11% off, how do you know that is invoice? Sounds more like Employee pricing? Maybe I do not know the cost sturcture currently in place for all the levels of pricing to the various groups.

Any information on these price structures would be helpful. I like the idea of 11% with the current $5,500 incentive and the $1,000 cash back if you do not time the 2 years of Onstar+Mtce + ....

I'm very close to making an offer (days) not weeks away.

I beleive VMTLS knows that's the invoice because he paid for a Car Cost Canada report as I did. All the amounts provided in this thread are from those reports. The deals change over time as do the amount of incentives. With the way the Cdn dollar has been, summer driving season coming, in my opinion I would expect the incentives be reduced. Not sure when the current incentives end or what the new ones will be.

You sure you want to buy a 2009 now? If you order, it will be 6 to 8 weeks (Mid to late May).

The 2010 will probably start production in late June early July with delivery in late July early August.

If I knew there was some great features in the 2010 that was worth $10,000 maybe I would wait.

I tend to keep vehicles for as long as they are functional. 10-12 years normally. So I'm not worried about the depreciation cost.

The incentives of the $6,500 is good till June 1 and I would only go ahead with the order if it was not guaranteed till the vehicle arrives. The additional best deal from the dealer is on top of that.

So what to do?

Like IMHIP2 mentioned above, I got the base vehicle and options priced using CarCost Canada pricing report. It gives you the breakdown in invoice price as well as MSRP for every option you choose. If were to buy the same vehicle now it is at $57,985 MSRP and $51,747. AFAIK, the invoice price works out to 10% off base vehicle MSRP and 14% off options. And then you get special credits for pre-configed packages like Sunroof+Nav (I got -$750 for that). So it's not that simple - you can't take a certain percentage off the whole vehicle's MSRP.

Mind you mine was a custom order hence I paid a markup of $1,000. You should be able to do a bit better if you buying off the lot.

Hope this helps!

I think I found your Enclave (or darn close - has Bose upgrade) $53175 Searched using N7G1Y7. It's the one with VIN ending in 891
