ok now I am extremely pissed!!!!!
i was driving home during rush hour on a very busy one lane street.
i was the first one inline at a light to cross an intersection.
I started out across the intersection and then it happened again for THE 3 TIME IN A MONTH!!!!!!!!!(car 10 weeks old )lil over 2300 mi)
the car just bogged out and drifted across the intersection .i kept pushing the gas and nothing.the car was still in a small idle though.
then it started shifting all over the place but, i was still not getting anywhere.i was almost in four accidents due to the fact i was stuck in the middle of an intersection now .i kept restarting(in a panic) hoping the car would maybe reset somehow but, it didnt .everytime i did,
i would get nudged a couple feet forward by the engine and eventually after 5minutes made it into a driveway.the car also was not going into low when i shifted.
funny about ten minutes before that i felt some bumpy shifts
i just got the car back from my dealer service this past monday.all he did was clean a selinoid???
Now i'm on fire!!!i called onstar and all they said was 2 transmission probs
1 transmissiong not getting power?
2 may effect performance . well DUH! thank you onstar.

onstar is it giving you some sort of code??? No thanks for nothing

after sitting there waiting to be picked up i started the car a couple times and it all of a sudden everything was working fine except tran light still on.i drove home . called my dealer.
and gave my sale person **** .i spoke to the manager of the dealership and gave him **** also told him everything and said i will be at service 8am and if i get it back
and it happens one more time .he'll have a show in the showroom alright starring me.i also told him i want the car delivered to wherever i am tomorrow when and finished.i also want the trouble codes form the tech.
This is an absolute disgrace. This is our premiere american CUV???? yeah right.i went from wanting it and loving it to not being able to rely on it.the other 2 times were on long trips.
i have one this weekend also and a 5 hour one the following one how can i trust this vehicle now????

This is all a bunch of Bull Sht!!!!!!! :angryfire:

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles. Will the dealer give you a loaner of some sort? Like perhaps a Lucerne? I'd drop or drag that car to the dealer and tell them you don't want to see it for two weeks and will drive their new loaner until they can confirm an actual repair. I don't know if they will do it, but I'd sure try it. The car isn't worth a hoot. Study the lemon laws in your state and follow the procedure in hopes of GM taking the car back. My best advise.

my sentiments exactly.... here in california 3 times 4 same problem is considered a lemon and they must take it back and either replace it or refund your money....

also, it is the law in california to give a copy of the lemon law book which by the way is yellow here along w/the owners manuals that come w/the car. check your owners manual folder and see if you received one. gl :comfort:

Just to clarify there isn't a blanket 3 strikes your out for the lemon law in California. The law is the Song-Beverly Warranty Act, which specifies that a "resonable" number of attempts are allowed. Since this could vary in interpretation, they have added a special provision to assist in determining this condition. Also notice the requirement to notify the MANUFACTURER (i.e. the dealer who is repairing the vehicle doesn't count) about the problem (in writing is usually required)

The following is straight from the California Attorney General and is located at http://ag.ca.gov/consumers/general/lemon.php

What is considered a reasonable number of repair attempts will depend on the circumstances including the seriousness of the defect. For example, one or two repair attempts may be considered reasonable for serious safety defects such as brake failure, depending on the exact situation.

A special provision, often called the "Lemon Law," helps determine what is a reasonable number of repair attempts for problems that substantially impair the use, value, or safety of the vehicle. The "Lemon Law" applies to these problems if they arise during the first 18 months after the consumer received delivery of the vehicle or within the first 18,000 miles on the odometer, whichever occurs first. During the first 18 months or 18,000 miles, the "Lemon Law" presumes that a manufacturer has had a reasonable number of attempts to repair the vehicle if either (1) The same problem results in a condition that is likely to cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven and the problem has been subject to repair two or more times by the manufacturer or its agents, and the buyer or lessee has at least once directly notified the manufacturer of the need for the repair of the problem as provided in the warranty or owner's manual or (2) The same problem has been subject to repair four or more times by the manufacturer or its agents and the buyer has at least once directly notified the manufacturer of the need for the repair of the problem as provided in the warranty or owner's manual or (3) The vehicle is out of service because of the repair of any number of problems by the manufacturer or its agents for a cumulative total of more than 30 days since delivery of the vehicle.

I believe ONE other person over on the acadia forum has had this same problem. They had to replace his transmission computer. My guess is that is what your problem is. I would ask them to change the transmission computer IMMEDIATELY and if that doesn't fix it, I don't know what it could be. Blame it on Bill Gates.

Our nanny had a similar problem with her Toyota doing that and it was the transmission computer (or some sort of computer thing).. they changed it (under warranty, car was less than a year old) and she has not had anymore problems.. maybe that is what is going on??

Re: CAR bogs out for 3rd time yes 3rd and transmission light comes on again.!!!!

ITS LEMON SQUASIN TIME.

time for a lemon law, tell them you could have been killed on that 4 way intersection, this is serious and could turn in to a fatal accident, if not fixetd properly.

ok keeping this brief.
i went to service on fire fuming this morning and they were all tip toeing around me.
at first he told me to turn of the car .i said NO F ing way .move the car forward ,keep it running and i wanna watch him put the computer on it.
at first the tech said there was a code that made no sense because car was new,
then he told me oh here it is.i needed some sort of solenoid module replaced .
it said it right on the screen.
they called gm and are overnighting it .
of course i wrote the code 3 down and have already lost it but, i will get tomorrow.
mean while they got me a rent a car nissan xterra they wanted me to get shuttled from work and get it.
i old them i'll be waiting here in work and it better be in my works parking lot by 2 pm .i have already wasted enough time.
so they dropped one off to me.
this all doesn't change the fact that i cannot trust this vehicle on my very future long trips.
i'm really afraid of safety and i feel sorry for the dealer if something happens again.
someone call "you tube"

My money is on the computer module that controls the transmission just needing to be completely replaced. I bet that would solve the problem as others have reported. Unfortunately, dealers will tip-toe around for weeks replacing every little sensor and part in hopes it's not the "main computer" If they would just replace that FIRST, they would "nip it".....but that would make too much sense.

Codes don't tell you what the problem is ,they only tell the technician what diagnostic test to perform. If you only go by codes you might as well be throwing darts to figure out the problem.

Besides almost getting killed in this thing, it is also very embarrassing to be sitting in your shiny new Enclave, the car you've literally waiting months for and was so proud of. Knowing GM, when they get this thing fixed, it will be fixed, period. That isn't saying much for the connection with Ford on the development. None of us feel too good about that.

I am thinking when they solve this problem, the complaints of problem shifting might be solved as well. I certainly feel for you and hope the fix is quick and sure. Perhaps ordering White diamond with lux pkg is my saving grace!!!

Are you in a loaner? I certainly hope so. If it is a DTS, then perhaps not so bad.

DTS when its a loaner it had better be more expensive than that, how about a Mazarati or better yet how about a stretch hummer limo with a driver ::)
