Hi,
I want to go through the automatic car wash but read that you have to put it in the car wash mode and neutral only lasts 5 minutes.... i don't want to risk it.... had anyone don't this?

Welcome to the forum. I don't know about the 2012, but on mine you open the door, then put it in neutral. It will stay in neutral through the wash.

My 2019 owner's manual has a whole section on the various car wash modes. Does the 2021 manual not have that section?

Leave it running and open door. Keep it running.

I would assume it’s the same for the 2021 as it is for the 2022. I have gone through an automatic car wash several times in my 2022. Unless you have an auto car wash place you use that takes more than 5 mins to go through you don’t have anything to worry about.

If you’re gonna be getting out of the car, all you have to do is put it in Neutral, and leave the key fob in the cup holder. It will continue to run until you turn it off.

We have a 2012 enclave. We buy a car wash membership. We go through at least once a week. We put it in neutral, go through, put it in gear. Never heard or had problems doing this!
