"Chrome Package" ???

Just remembered this one, meant to ask about it two weeks ago. When ordering our Enclave from our local dealer, he asked if we wanted the "chrome package" for $1800. Neither he nor we could figure out what might be included in that package. So far as I know, at the very least, the grill, window trim, door handles, and exhaust is chrome. From the two I've seen on the road, I'm thinking perhaps the roof rails and tail light trim as well? We ordered the chrome 19" rims, so that couldn't be it.

So what in the heck is $1800 worth of additional chrome? I haven't seen it mentioned in any literature, neither in print or on Buick's site. But it was in the dealer's ordering system. Just curious if anyone knows more about this.

For what it's worth, I'd rather have a bit less chrome as it contrasts too much with the Carbon paint we ordered. I'd rather not have the chrome bezel around the tail lights, and may consider ordering another set and having them painted to match if I don't like the look.

The chrome package includes the dual skylight sunroof (C3U) and 19" 7 spoke chromed
wheels (P65). See here for more details:

The 19" chrome wheels and sunroof, when priced as separate options, total $2195. Are you saying they can/should be sold as a package for less? If so, my dealer and I were both unaware of that, as buick's main site does not list that as a package option, just separate options.

Anyone with more info? Should I demand a price reduction from my dealer?
I heard the "chrome package" was a regional item, only certain states like California?
No such "package" in NJ.
My window sticker stated:
$1300 sunroof
$1495 19" chrome wheels
-$600 credit, wheel content credit

$2195 net total
Correct, it is offered to the residents of FL, CA and AL I guess. A total $1000 off from the total price of 19" chrome and Sun roof package.

Interestingly, I was searching for vehicles a couple of days ago, and came across a Window Sticker which had FTC chrome package included in the price, and vehicle was at an NJ dealership. I wonder if he got it as a swap from one of those states.
I'm in Mississippi, so I wonder if it is offered here if it was in his system? I'll call and check...
CA, FL and TX and "adjacent areas" according to a CA window sticker I saw.

My dealer, across the river in CA, included the package in my order, but will not give the price reduction to me because my vehicle registration will not be in one of the select adjoing counties. (See the attached GM letter) He said that GM will verify the final registration and if not authorized will not give the dealer the discount. If I decide not to take the vehicle when/IF it ever gets built, the package would enhance his dealer trade ability.
He said I could always move back to CA, but I'm afraid it would take a heck of a lot more than the $830 invoice reduction for me to do that.

i bought chrome on mine in phila .don't think it's regional .
where do you get that from?
Joe-Drum,
It's not that you can't buy the chrome wheels, it is just that GM is offering a specially priced package that includes the sunroof and chrome wheels. It is actually a great deal if you live in those states as you basically get the chrome wheels for free ($2195 with $1000 discount is cheaper than the moonroof alone!)
i'm sayimg i bought the chrome package and it was in phila
if you go to buick's website and locate a vehicle (enclave) in florida, click on window sticker, you'll see the chrome package on most cars.

But the question is did you get the $1000 rebate?
I bought my Enclave in Jacksonville Fl and the Chrome Pkg came on it. And yes I did get the $1000 discount, but I was required to sign a form
stated I received the discount.
Well, technically I live two counties away from one of the MS eligible counties. ::) Wonder if I can still get the package...
