Hi All,

The wife and I have been looking into buying a larger "family friendly" car and came across a used '08 Enclave CX. It has 106K miles on it and the asking price is $13,995. I'm hoping to get some input on whether or not you feel this is a fair price or even a good idea to buy. I've read that there are transmission issues along with rack and pinion steering issues. Could anyone suggest a a way to check if either of these things might cause us trouble in the near future or if they've already been repaired?

Please let me know if you need more information or if there are other things that I need to take into consideration.

Do not buy an 08. That one is way over priced anyway IMHO
Thanks for your quick reply. Could you elaborate on what a fair price would be and why I shouldn't consider an '08? I'm currently reading through the Carfax report and there is an entry stating "Internal Transmission Repaired" at about 75K. I'm assuming this means the wave plate was replaced.
