Design of Front Console---CD storage area?

Ordered my enclave May 17th. Getting the Navigation which means has only 1 CD slot in the player at a time.
(I think). Is there a place in the console for more CD's? What exactly is the configuration of the console? Is there a place there to charge your cell phone and a holder for it, etc? Couldn't find out in the brochure I have.

there is another plug for charging a cell phone or whatever you want to charge.
My Chrysler T & C has a charger "plug" inside the console and a holder for your phone, so I can leave the cord there all the time out of sight which is a nice feature. Was hoping there would be something like that in my enclave. However, I'm more concerned about the CD storage.
The console has a shallow storage place on top. The top part slides back, and there is a sliding door that opens up to another shallow tray. The tray is removeable, opening up to a deeper compartment. That deeper compartment could hold cds. I removed the tray, and leave my entertainment book, maps, sometimes a book, and cell phone charger in the deeper compartment. The storage space isn't huge if you tend to live in your car like I do, but it's working out ok.
I've posted 4 pictures to page 2 of my gallery. One with the console compartment closed, one open with insert in place, one with insert removed, and one with CD's stored.

Please ignore the picture quality. I don't feel like redoing them.

Thank you, zman---what a nice guy. That helped a LOT.
Glad to help.
There is a charger plug in the deeper console compartment if you remove the shallow tray just like in the Chrysler T&C.

I looked for a power point in the console today at the dealership. There wasn't one -- except all the way on the back of the console -- for the rear passengers.

Recently I demo'd a 2007 Saturn Outlook with Nav (same as inthe Enclave). The salesman told me the unit has 1 slot for the Nav DVD and another 6 slots for CD's.

Interestingly.. just today at the Buick dealer I asked to demo the [same] Nav in an Enclave. The salesman got a bit jittery and said he had to locate the Nav DVD first. After I pry'ed a bit, he mentioned they don't leave the Nav DVD's in the cars on the lot -- he said it was $500 to replace the DVD disc. (This could be exaggeration, but you get the point.. You might want to remove the Nav DVD when you hand over the keys to the valet..).
When mine was first delivered to me, the salesperson went to put the DVD into the nav slot, and told me that since it could only hold one cd w/ the nav syst., that I would have to take out the nav dvd when I wanted to put in a cd. I thought that was absurd. Obviously he was wrong. ;D
I was told there was two slots. One for Nav and one for CD.
there is... someones dealer clearly didnt have a clue.
Once he put it in, he realized that he was wrong.
I was surprised about the single-CD feature; my Chrysler T&C has navigation AND 6 CD changer!! Why couldn't GM figure out how to do it? :sosad: :eek:hno:

Yeah, I don't know. Additionally, I found the option package descriptions vague at best when the Acadia first came out. It was hard to tell what you got for number of slots with various combined option packages. Once the vehicles became more widespread it became clear but the documentation was far from clear. Some people thought they were getting a 6 disk when they weren't.
