Yes
That was my plan too, but it was either take the one on the lot with Ent#4 or order one with Ent#3. We decided to take the car and work our way around the other issues.MsS42 said:this is exactly why i am getting ent. pkg #3 and getting the headrest dvd's cause i need my music when i am driving or at least a talk radio station...
On the factory unit ... The unit is hard wired. All audio options are available while watching a DVD except for CD's (XM, FM, AM, AUX - iPod). The 5.1 provides a home theatre feel and does make a difference sound wise. The headphones have good sound, but not the greatest design as there is an on-off button for the kids to forget to use and a screwdriver required to change batteries. The unit is made by Panasonic and the remote is so-so.greenj3 said:What do I do? I can't make up my mind. I really like the integrated DVD but at the same time I like the idea of a bigger screen and better headphones. What would you people do? Did I forget anything? Please respond as soon as you can, I have to make a decision in the morning.
Thanks for all the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Side by side, you will definitely notice an extra 2". But you will not miss the extra 2" in the Enclave. Also, the factory unit is not review mirror friendly. A larger unit will surely be worse. I am fairly certain aftermarket headphones will work and that is the case in our Odyssey. I will try our Odyssey headphones in the Enclave as a test.greenj3 said:Thanks for all the comments. Do you think the extra 2" of screen space is a big deal? Would anyone really notice? I agree the 5.1 is awesome. Great point about the warranty. Overall tough call. I'm leaving for the dealer in 2 hours. The car we're going to look at might be sold...so the guy says on the phone. This dealer sounds like a real clown. This should be fun...not....
I have remote internet so please keep commenting. I'm going to keep checking. Right now I'm leaning to Package #4. The integration, 5.1, warranty, and it's ready to go day 1 all are positives. I just wished the screen was bigger, came with better headphones and had more AUX inputs. Can you use aftermarket headsets with the factory DVD player?
Thanks everyone!!!!
