Hi everyone,

Anyone has any idea of the possible source of this sound - started to make it all often sudden. Had errors 16,17,18,19 for a very long time - years - most likely stretched chain.

No misfire codes, although symptom is somewhat similar to it...

well, it seems this is likely a blown headgasket at 540K km loosing some coolant in the process, but no milky oil yet. Smoke got worse over few days.

It actually amazes me that HG held this long! my mechanic that does an oil change for me said that i'm the first in his career who took enclave this far

definitely not ready for headgasket replacement on such an old car - anyone had a good or really bad experience with some head gasket sealers (bars leak, blue devil, etc) ? At this point, i'm ready to try and see - maybe it will buy me another 6-12 months?

If the head gasket has failed bad enough to cause it to run rough I really doubt any can of sealer is going to do anything. It's a cheap thing to try and if it works I'd recommend picking up a lotto ticket too because the odds are about the same.
