Has anyone else discovered the two small storage compartments on either side of the large one in the rear floor? It was a surprise to me because I found no mention of them in the owner’s manual.

Yep, and if you turn the "knobs" and remove the hold downs the whole storage compartment comes out giving you about 6" more of storage height for luggage, etc. :thumb:

This post is kind of misleading. Based on reading this, I thought there was another compartment underneath, but there isn't. You're basically taking out the whole piece allowing you have 3-6 inches more depth. I really don't think it was meant to be removed for this purpose based on what was underneath the compartment. I think it's just an easy way to take it out and get to other serviceable areas from the top.

Just and FYI! :thumb:

PS. If you're gonna try it anyway, lay the back seats down. It's easier to get it out that way. Honestly, it's not worth the time. Ha!

I believe it is covered in the manual:

Cargo Management System
Your vehicle has a cargo management system located
in the rear of the vehicle. To open, pull the handle
toward the rear of the vehicle and lift the cover up.
There is an additional storage compartment on each side
of the system.
To open, unlatch and lift the panel up.
To remove the cargo management system:
1. Open the lid.
2. Remove the side panels and place inside the bin.
3. Loosen the retaining nuts on each side of the
system by turning them counterclockwise.
4. Close the lid.
5. Pull up on the system by using the built in handles
and remove it from the vehicle.
