i really think this the kind of car that only looks good in certain colors
as much as i like white diamond ,it seems like the darker colors make it stronger looking
at least thats how i see it .
probably a guy thing

I took my father to see all three. He strongly preferred the Buick because of its more distinctive styling. But he's also always had a soft spot for Jags, and Buick lifts a lot of its current look from Jag.

Apparently you're also a metrosexual. I guess if you really cannot deal with that, there's always the GMC ;D

We bought white diamond. My wife said the white diamond looked elegant, while the other colors looked sportier.

The Acadia is sportier, more rugged, more truck-like. The Enclave is more graceful, more refined, more elegant. It just depends on what you're looking for in a vehicle.

Edit: OK after reading that it sounds like I'm saying that the Enclave is a chic car but I'm not. :help:

we have lots of guys getting or have this car... one guy traded in his corvette for the enclave.

hey, look at it this way, if its a chic car, then let it be your chic magnet :D

I stayed away from the Lexus RX350 because it is a "chic" car. So I found the Enclave. Figured it was big enough to be "manly".

Well June 4th, Automobile News Pg 18. "Buick's target Enclave buyers: women in their 40's - about 15 years younger than the brand's typical buyers."

Pulling the trigger anyway, think it stacks up great vs. Lexus, Acura, Volvo etc.. Just hoping the reliability is good.

By the way, only negative in the article was acceleration.

when i test drove the enclave i had no problem w/acceleration. i clearly think that is a complaint of lead foot drivers. some people want a car to make skid marks when taking off... slow down people your obviously going to fast.

Acceleration is not bad from a dead stop. However, if you are going 35-40 and want to accellerate to pass - it feels very sluggish (nothing I can't live with though). I received a personal message from Buick saying they are fixing this with a software update that will be available free at dealers by the fall.

Yes, the main issue is just the sluggishness / lag when you want to punch it. The power itself seems fine overall.
I agree that leadfoot people would probably be bothered by it more, but it is still an issue even for non-leadfoot people.

Interesting, women in their 40's, that's me! I never thought I'd own a Buick, my grandpa drove a Buick! So, I guess they did a good job with their targeting, cause I can't wait to get mine!

I told my grandmother that I was buying a Buick and she was very impressed. She bought one in the 50's for $550. I didn't have the heart to tell her that's about what I'd be paying per month. ::)
