I just finished replacing the heater core & evaporator core in my 2008 Buck Enclave.
  • everything went well & the last thing to finish is to reinstall the front seats!
  • when I cut the airbag wires under my seats, I forgot to check the colors of the wires
  • strangely, the wires from the harness & the wires going to the airbag do not match?
Years ago, the dealer removed the plugs & soldered the wires but I have no idea why the colors don't match?

Any ideas on which wires go together? I'm kicking myself for not noting the connections before I stripped them!
Thanks, JA

Here is the the wiring diagram if anyone has an idea.. the yellow highlighted are my wire colors from above pics.
  • I guess that at one time GM must have replaced my original airbags?
  • I'm thinking that since there are just two wires, it doesn't matter which wire or color to connect?
  • Do airbags have polarity?

I figured this out and just connected them up at random (Yellow to Green, Brown to White, etc).
Airbags are now connected & everything is working fine.
  • After checking out the schematic above
  • and reading that some guys have soldered in 2 ohm resistors to bypass the airbag,
  • I realized that the wires can be connected using any color combination!
