We've had our Enclave awd CXL for five days. When we pull into the garage and turn the engine off the hid xenon headlights stay on for a while, as they're supposed to. We're hearing a high pitched noise, similar to the high frequency noise you'd hear from an old crt tv. I'm not sure if the two actions are related but, when the hid's go out the noise stops. Anyone else hear it? Anyone have any idea what it is? ???

This was discussed in endless detail on the Acadia forum. I can not remember what the noise is, but it is normal for these vehicles. Mine also does it.

It is the pressure solenoids inside the tranny, and it is normal. See this thread for an explanation:

I have that noise as well, but was wondering if anyone was experiencing a different one. Every once in a while, I'll hear a high pitched, soft, quick "beep beep" that sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the front passenger area. I can't see any connection to anything else I'm doing to cause it. Anyone else notice this or know what it is? Thanks.

I have 261 Miles on my Enclave and I hear a "Whining" like noise when I accelerate. It changes as the transmission shifts.
I have an appointment with my Service Specialist at 11:00 tomorrow, anyone else hear about this noise?
I don't hear it when I am stopped , turn off the engine or at Idle.

I had my enclave checked today for the "Whining" noise, seems it only does it with the A/C on.
It has been int the 90's here with high humidity .
The Service Tech Drove two other Enclaves that were on the lot and they had the same noise.
Guess I would not have heard it if the car wasn't so quiet !!!

Hey Top Dog, I had a similar noise on my GMC Envoy. I had ignored it but my husband drove the car and was sure something was wrong. I took it in and had it checked out and they said it was a normal sound for the car. I can't remember what they said it was but I have gotten so used to it that I don't notice it anymore. I heard it when I accelerated and it was a whining noise.

High-Pitched Noise Buick Enclave

Our 2010 Buick Enclave has had a high-pitched noise coming from inside the car, but only certain (younger) passengers can hear it. It has been going on for over a year. Drives my 17 yr old son nuts and gives him headaches. If it was me hearing it, I would've taken it in sooner, but I finally took it to a Buick dealership yesterday. They called and said their (younger) technicians heard it--a piercing sound--drove them nuts too. They determined it was coming from the center console/rear air conditioning unit. $800 to fix it!!! Is there anything, a claim I can make??

Yes, you can claim the the AC on this car has a crappy design. But that won't save you $800.

I'm 57 and I can hear it ; ) if we're talking about the same intermittent high-pitched noise from the middle seat area. Can you give me more information on what exactly they said the issue was and what the repair entailed? I'm hoping my husband can fix it and save us $800. Thank you.
