We ordered 08-20-07, how long will we have to wait on a CXL with all the fixings?

Re: How long is the wait for ordered Enclave?

2-4 months, depending what allocations your dealer has. What did your salesman tell you?

They had one allocation that came in and so that became ours. He told us 6 - 8 weeks but we were wondering how accurate that was.

As long as they are being honest with you about the allocation, it could be within that range. They are starting a third shift at the factory in a week or so, so that should expedite deliveries.
Good luck, you will LOVE your Enclave :thumb: :thumb:

I'd get that allocation in writing, if possible. Between GM and the dealer, the chance of getting any correct information seems to be next to impossible. Day 123 is tomorrow and my order is still at code 1100. Makes this easily the least amount of fun I have ever had purchasing a vehicle, BY FAR! The Enclave "envy" is running on full. I got caught up in the allocation game and don't wish it on anybody else. Good Luck!

I don't know what to say...

...I've grown accustomed to just talking about getting an Enclave. Ordered loaded CXL on April 20 and just learned that the car is being shipped today. I'm at code 4000. I have the VIN number, and it's listed in the VOMS with estimated ship date of 22 Aug. I suspect I could have it in hand as early as next week. Gee, what do I have to look forward to now? :)

Ordered our Gold Mist CXL FWD on July 24th. Stopped in at our dealer yesterday thinking "well, we are 4 weeks into this, HOPEFULLY... ; ;D things should be happening"! They are not a high volume Buick dealer so I expected that they would have a low allocation number. (I have learned quite a bit from this forum on how the system works now)!!!! I wasn't totally supprised to find out that our order had not been processed yet :eek:hno: because they had not received any more allocations.

I advised my salesman that I was not going to go through what I had read on this forum about others experience of waiting for 12 weeks+. I wanted some answers and I had copies of the VOMS number criteria with me and LOTS of questions. If they were not going to get a new allocation fairly soon, I was going to have to cancel our order and do a vehicle search on line. Granted we would most likely not find exactly what we wanted :eek:hno: ....but.............

Well, the owner came over and met with my wife and I and our salesman. They ran an updated report from GM right in front of us, showing their allocation for the next 3 weeks. WALLAAAA....they were getting an allocation for 1 Enclave as of August 23rd. I was adivised that our order would go in on that allocation and be priority 1 because it is a pre-sold order.

Today, I was called and advised our order was accepted by GM and is in the system. SO, things are moving along. :thumb: Our salesman also advised he contacted "their" rep and he felt our order should be built within the next 4 weeks or less. :blob:

Now we just have to hope contract talks work out.....

You could have, at least, said it in a nice way, instead of bragging and making us all feel
so inadequate. Who? Me??

You know, if you still want to keep planning for your Enclave, you could always sell yours to one of us poor souls here, so we can see what it feels like...lololol! Just a thought.

Seriously, I hope you guys are having lots of fun in your Enclaves!!!

My CXL AWD White Diamond Cashmere with all the extras including integrated assist steps (i.e., less the engine block heater) finally arrived at the dealer today and will be ready to go on Monday. So it basically took 4 months from May 5th until August 27th to get my Enclave with all the "fixings". :-\

the wait on the enclave depends on your age at time of order..... if you ordered at age 40 then the wait is 25 years and so onnnn..... your age now + how long it takes you to reach 65 = wait time... :angryfire:

It's a CUV at first ... then you can turn it into a casket! Bury me in mine. I'll drive it to the promise land!
