I order my new Enclave yesterday!

I live in Dallas, TX. I was told it would take 8-10 weeks to get the Enclave. I've read some posts on here saying this is normal, but some people seem to have gotten theirs earlier. These posts were kind of old as well. Any new information on build times?

I got the CX, FWD, Cocoa, Cashmere clothe (hate sticky leather seats!), DVD system, upgraded wheels, 7 seats.

Thanks to all that posted pics too. It made shopping for one much easier. Not that I really needed it. I knew I wanted it within the first 3 minutes of seeing it!

They finally pulled our order for production after 8 weeks to the day of placing the order. Our hope now is that it will not take another 8 weeks for it to show up at the dealer!!! :banghead:

The dealer originally told us that once they pull the order, it will be a week for production, another week for inspection, then 1-2 weeks delivery. We'll see, he told us 8-10 weeks delivery to begin with.

I didn't know that you could upgrade the wheels on the CX. How much was that option? I'm not completely sold on the leather either, but ordered the CXL because I wanted the nice wheels. Which wheels did you upgrade to? I ordered but haven't signed anything or put any money down so I could always go to another dealer and order again. I"m not really in a hurry to get it. My dealer thought it would take about 6-8 weeks for it to come in but I think 8-12 weeks is more realistic. Is the CX the same as the CXL everywhere else (interior, exterior) other than the leather seats and wheels? The leather does get hot and sticky in the South!
Re: I order my new Encalve yesterday!

For $245 you can upgrade the wheels from "painted aluminum" to "machine aluminum". They look the same (from what I could tell by the pics), but I assume machined is better than painted any day! They are still 18" wheels.

The options for both CX and CXL are almost identical! That's another plus to this vehicle. I was going to get the sunroof too, but the "shade" is nothing more than a black mesh cover that still allows sunlight in. I would have gotten the sunroof if it was a total knock-out shade. I don't want any sunlight inside the truck in 110 degree Texas summers!

We upgraded our CX wheels from the painted aluminum to the polished aluminum. The MSRP on that option was $225. You can upgrade to the chrome wheels for awhole lot more money, of which I was interested in spending for a set of wheels!!!!!

NOLA Saints: I'm curious where you ordered your enclave. We couldn't find a dealer in the Metroplex that would cut us any kind of a deal. Ended up ordering ours in Mineola through Sam's Club which turned out to be a good deal. They are the only Texas dealer that will do the Sam's Club discount. Ordered ours May 17th. Told us 8-10 weeks. Currently in Code 3000 (for 3 weeks now)

I got a Supplier Discount through my job, but I'm curious as to what kind of deal Sam's got you. I am a Sam's member too.
Wow! That's a much better deal than I got! My MSRP is $35,085. Supplier discount $33,151.92.

Can you give my the contact info for your dealer? I'll drive anywhere to save that kind of cash! ha. Thanks!

(Modified: When I posted this originally, TexasNana said their MSRP was $40,225, and their cost $27,700! I thought that was to good to be true! ha). So I guess I'm getting a pretty good deal.
I think the SD is % based, so I am looking at a vehicle with MSRP of $45770 and the Supplier price is $42545. Also make sure you check the Supplier pricing on GM's website, I have already experienced a difference in what the dealer is saying and what I am getting from the site. I have similar experiences with the residual value and interest rates the dealer was always higher than GM's program.

NEVER TRUST your car dealer!!!
