I did order one, I'm just not sure I will be able to afford it! I had a few disappointments, :sosad: one is that there is no loyalty discount now and I can't get the Conquest discount. The other is that the lease back program where they pay 2 months on your old lease is only available for GMAC leases, which I do not have. :eek:hno: So, I was only able to get a little bit off the MSRP, though maybe when the car comes in I can try to negotiate a better deal. I was ready to leave and just wait till the fall when I am closer to the end of my lease but the lease guy said he would order the car for me just the way I want it and that maybe by the time it comes in they would have a better lease program or some other discount that I would qualify for. They are ordering it for me with no money down and giving me first right of refusal on it when it comes in, so I figured I had nothing to lose, though when they dangle those keys in front of me it will be hard to say no, which is probably what they are counting on!

Here are the details of the car and price:
CXL FWD Dark Crimson Metallic
7 passenger
Ent #3 (Nav, no DVD)
Chrome wheels (no sunroof)
Tow package

The salesguy was so unfamiliar with the options I actually had to help him through the choices! ( I have "built" it so many times on the Buick web site I knew it by heart)

MSRP was $39335
Their offer $38950 (they hinted that they might go lower but didn't offer anything today >:D)

The lease details (and they said this may change by the time the car arrives) :

48 month, 15,000 miles per year, residual of 21,964, interest of 8.2% (this was higher than I expected ).

I offered 3,000 cash of which about 1,500 will go to various fees (1st month down, 199 doc fee, 217 govt fee, etc. I didn't get all the details today)

Comes out to $568.70 per month including tax. It's about $40 per month more than I wanted to spend. Not much really, less than a tank of gas, but I am still reluctant to pay that much. I don't want to commit to more down until I know how much getting out of my current lease will cost me. So, I guess I will see what they say when the car comes in. I am trying to find someone who can get me a supplier discount but I doubt that I will. Not sure if I should go to another dealer in town, I guess I probably should, since I didn't commit to anything.

Other stuff: :) I got the BIG brochure, it's really nice and has decent sized squares showing the colors. The crimson metallic looks REALLY nice in the brochure but most of the photos are of the cocoa.

I saw a White Diamond CXL all prepped for someone to pick up, it's very elegant looking, definately caught my eye more than the cocoa one that was parked out front. That surprised me because I thought the cocoa was my second favorite color and I usually don't like white cars that much, but I guess in the Enclave I do.. Those that are waiting for the White Diamond, you will be VERY happy when you get it!
I also saw a Platinum Metallic CX that had dealer installed gray leather. It was pretty but I don't like the regular wheels. It had the bench seat which I checked out. I can see the versatility of seating 8, but it blocks off access to the back row unless you fold the seat down. Sticker price was only 34,000 though. Very good price for an Enclave with leather (added about 2K).

So, that was how it went. What do you think? I want feedback! I told the sales and lease guys about this board, they were impressed with all the details I knew about options and prices, (thanks to you all!)

Why no conquest rebate. :angryfire: I did not think that it expired until July 9th? :eek:hno: I just got a call from my dealer who still has not given me any straight answer about my Enclave's status - yes, diamonds are "forever" (i.e., take forever, except for those few that have somehow have got theirs! - the lucky few). :sosad: ;D

Oh, I didn't make that clear, I have a GMC now. My husband has a Mercury Mariner and they said that if my name was on the title I could have gotten the Conquest discount but my name is not on his car at all. So, you can get the Conquest rebate, but I can't! :sosad:

Put the car in his name? ::)
Or just add your name to his title. I think it costs something like $15 in Minnesota.

Geez, why didn't I think of that! Those are both good ideas, thanks. Maybe I will see if they will drop the price and then try to add the Conquest discount too.

Congratulations Jackie, First Crimson on the board!

I think the interest rate is a bit high, GM offers 7.2% on leases and 8.2% on smart buy. Make sure the dealer is using the right one. My dealer was using 8.2 as well but when i confronted him, he slipped to 7.2%. Also if you could tell how your taxes were calculated, i.e on the usage or on whole amount. If you could tell me the tax rate, tax u paid and the selling price of the car, I could figure it out.

You might want to think about the sunroof. I believe if you go sunroof and chrome wheels you get a 1000 dollar discount. Might as well get it for free. I ordered one on Weds, Carbon Flash AWD CXL and the dealer charged 100 dollars over invoice.

I'm in the same boat your in, I hope there is some sort of rebate going on when the vehicles finally arrive.

I really don't want the sunroof because of the black mesh cover. It lets the heat in, and summer here in central florida is either brutal heat & humidity or severe thunderstorms, so I don't think I would use it much. With the chome package here in FL I declined the sunroof and it took $600 off the price.

Coop, the tax info that I know is 7% rate. Car price was $38,950, and there is something that says Taxes: 1806.74. I did plug the numbers into Edmunds lease calculator and it came to within a dollar of the number from the dealer. I am going to really push for the 7.2% (.003), and to get about 1k off the price somehow, that would bring the monthly payment to about $518 which I could handle better. I did request quotes from the other dealers in town using the Edmunds web site.

no jackie, that mess does a good job of keeping out the sun and heat. i have test drove both and i def prefer the sunroofs over the non sunroofs. it not only adds style but it also seems to add openess and aireness in the car.

Orange county California and Orange county Florida unfortunately do not have the same "air". :eek:hno: Ours is hotter and stickier than yours, and we don't cool off at night here! :angryfire: I'll admit I might use a sunroof here in the winter but I've had 2 other cars with sunroofs. The first one I used alot but I was living in Miami which is breezier than here, the other sunroof car was while living here and I never used it. That's just me though, clearly there are people here who love their sunroofs and convertibles... I'd just rather be in a shady A/C cooled car! :)

At least it is safer to breathe in Florida than the smog out your way! I got the sunroof because it is a little cooler and breezier here on the Florida coast.

we dont have that problem here where i live. just like you have a breeze and jackie doesnt... i dont have smog in my area too close to the ocean and the ocean breeze keeps it all away.

FYI, we do not have smog testing in Florida either! Glad it is not a problem for you, but I remember the smog when I was out your way!

doesnt mean we have smog....just shows there is a testing company here. it doesnt bother me but that hot, humid, nasty, sticky weather in florida sure does.

Ha ha! Gators love The Swamp! Florida weather is definately ideal for gators and bugs, but I love it here too!

(Hey Gator, off topic but are you as happy as me about the whole Donovan thing? Yeah!, we have him and Urban Meyer too for 5 more years! Did you go to UF? If so when?)

Hey JackieMD

:thumb: GO [blue] GATORS! [black] Of course I am Happy with Donovan staying (i.e. "returning"). His little stint only gives him more credit as a University coach - good enough for the Magic, but staying with the Gators. Hopefully we will have replacements for the "wonder" team of the past two years, but if anyone can bring in those types of players, a coach like Donovan will do it! Very happy with Meyer, hope he stays. Florida's best coach ever!

Graduated from hogtown in 1984 in the Pell, Hall and Sloan era. How about you? MD for doc?
