I did order one, I'm just not sure I will be able to afford it! I had a few disappointments, :sosad: one is that there is no loyalty discount now and I can't get the Conquest discount. The other is that the lease back program where they pay 2 months on your old lease is only available for GMAC leases, which I do not have.
hno: So, I was only able to get a little bit off the MSRP, though maybe when the car comes in I can try to negotiate a better deal. I was ready to leave and just wait till the fall when I am closer to the end of my lease but the lease guy said he would order the car for me just the way I want it and that maybe by the time it comes in they would have a better lease program or some other discount that I would qualify for. They are ordering it for me with no money down and giving me first right of refusal on it when it comes in, so I figured I had nothing to lose, though when they dangle those keys in front of me it will be hard to say no, which is probably what they are counting on!
Here are the details of the car and price:
CXL FWD Dark Crimson Metallic
7 passenger
Ent #3 (Nav, no DVD)
Chrome wheels (no sunroof)
Tow package
The salesguy was so unfamiliar with the options I actually had to help him through the choices! ( I have "built" it so many times on the Buick web site I knew it by heart)
MSRP was $39335
Their offer $38950 (they hinted that they might go lower but didn't offer anything today >
)
The lease details (and they said this may change by the time the car arrives) :
48 month, 15,000 miles per year, residual of 21,964, interest of 8.2% (this was higher than I expected
).
I offered 3,000 cash of which about 1,500 will go to various fees (1st month down, 199 doc fee, 217 govt fee, etc. I didn't get all the details today)
Comes out to $568.70 per month including tax. It's about $40 per month more than I wanted to spend. Not much really, less than a tank of gas, but I am still reluctant to pay that much. I don't want to commit to more down until I know how much getting out of my current lease will cost me. So, I guess I will see what they say when the car comes in. I am trying to find someone who can get me a supplier discount but I doubt that I will. Not sure if I should go to another dealer in town, I guess I probably should, since I didn't commit to anything.
Other stuff:
I got the BIG brochure, it's really nice and has decent sized squares showing the colors. The crimson metallic looks REALLY nice in the brochure but most of the photos are of the cocoa.
I saw a White Diamond CXL all prepped for someone to pick up, it's very elegant looking, definately caught my eye more than the cocoa one that was parked out front. That surprised me because I thought the cocoa was my second favorite color and I usually don't like white cars that much, but I guess in the Enclave I do.. Those that are waiting for the White Diamond, you will be VERY happy when you get it!
I also saw a Platinum Metallic CX that had dealer installed gray leather. It was pretty but I don't like the regular wheels. It had the bench seat which I checked out. I can see the versatility of seating 8, but it blocks off access to the back row unless you fold the seat down. Sticker price was only 34,000 though. Very good price for an Enclave with leather (added about 2K).
So, that was how it went. What do you think? I want feedback! I told the sales and lease guys about this board, they were impressed with all the details I knew about options and prices, (thanks to you all!)
