First Buick, but have never had anything but GM. To many of those through the years to name. Went from Chevrolet cars, (Lumina & Monte Carlo's) to Pontiac (2 Grand Prix's), still have those. Trailblazer is sold when Enclave shows up. My dad is Ford only, car & truck. I told him that Buick is my next stop on the way to Cadillac. He just rolls his eyes.
This will be my fourth Buick, and first after moving on to Lexus a few years ago because of Navigation System vs On-Star. Also, I have had 2 Peugeots, a Chevy, and a Pontiac. I've been spoiled with the Lexus car and service, so I hope my adjustment goes well. To wit, my 2002 Lexus hasn't had a problem since the day I drove it off the lot. Service? When I need routine maintenance, the dealer drives to my house to pick up my car and leaves a current year Lexus to use that day. At the end of the day, the dealer returns my car. No extra charge. I'm going to have to relearn how to drop off a car at the service facility.
Yes it is.
1st car used: 1980 Sunbird
2nd: Used 1982 S-10 Tahoe (the little extened cab little truck)
I don't think I could name them all, but I had
1999 Black Chevy Tahoe. Loved it. It was loaded and I leased it for 12 months. They were offering great lease deals at the time, and I could not afford to buy one. Diapers were to expensive!!
1998 Pontiac Montana, loaded. I hated it. It rattled and well, I can't believe I owned it for 6 years. Only got it because I couldn't afford to buy a Tahoe then.
2002 Envoy XL. Still have it. It's black and loaded, and a little pimped out with Denali grille, and chrome nurf bars (had to take off the ugly factory running boards it came with) It is like brand new. I still like it. But its nothing like
Oh, did not list hubby's trucks: Currently for Sale 2005 quad cab Canyon, any takers?
1979 Pontiac LeMans
1986 Pontiac Sunbird (the car that soured me on GM for years)
1992 Nissan Sentra
1997 Nissan Altima
2001 Nissan Maxima
I would have bought a Murano now but the design is basically unchanged since 2003. Started shopping American brands again and fell in love with the styling and luxury of the Enclave. Also shopped the Lincoln MKX but it was too similar to an Edge to justify the extra expense. Tried a Pacifica for a week as a rental and wasn't impressed. Picked up my blue-gold CXL with ebony interior tonight at the dealership, and I've been out to the garage twice just to look it over and smile.
Personally, this will be my second, as I have an '04 Rendezvous right now.
I couldn't always afford to have whatever car I wanted until more recent years, but my grandma always had Buick's and I loved them from the time I was a little kid. My husband mostly bought GM and considered a couple Buick's but being a rancher/cowboy he liked more rugged vehicles and cadillacs.
My first car was a Ford Pinto, so I have come a long way... :sunny:
