Lambda based Police Vehicles?

I am in law enforcement and we just purchased several tahoes. We needed more room than a sedan for several different functions and the 4WD is handy in our climate. It just occurred to me that if GM built a Lambda (probably the GMC or Chevy version) with a police package, it would probably be a big seller. I surely would have preferred it. It is roomier than the Tahoe, less expensive, and gets much better gas mileage.

Now all it needs is a police package so that it has the proper wiring, brakes, etc. Wouldn't the Acadia look awesome in a police black and white color scheme?

Not necessarily. Often the police pkg has an bigger engine than is offered to the general public.
wont be a v8, usually, its the horsepower of police cars that is much faster but i think they will be using this for a transport vehicle not a gotta catch em vehicle. :police:
Horsepower is overated for most police applications. Especially for a moder urban environment. I'd take the V6 and the better mileage. Oversize breaks are more important than speed as well. In pursuit driving it is usually overheated brakes that will fail first.
