I'm hoping to change my fog lights and daytime running lights to LED. I want the colour cast to match my headlights. What are the bulbs and what would you reccomend? The fleabay ones look cheap and I've heard they last. Just not sure on the bulbs.

Feel free to post pics if you have em.

Thanks

The best ones would be bright white LED bulbs. You might want to experiment with a few to get it right.

Here's my DRLs. Got them from vleds.com:

Also did the 6000k fogs:

Did the 6000k headlights, but haven't taken any pix yet. Much better look, imo. Did the LED reverse and license plate lights too.

Can you post exactly which lights you got? There are many different type, wattages, etc from VLEDs.

The pics that GMMillwright posted of the V-leds DRL led upgrade are nice but it looks like everyone else on the forum beat me to the site because the bulbs he lists are sold out !

Anyone else have any recommendations for DRL led bulbs?

Thanks

The above links don't work for me.... they are probably way out of date.
True or False?
LED for the DRL's; Do I need to use a resistor or ballast?
HID for the DRL's; Do I need to use a ballast?
LED for the Fog's; Do I need to use a resistor or ballast?
LED for the rear turn signal/stop; Do I need to use a resistor or ballast?
LED for the Reverse Lamp; Do I need to use a resistor or ballast?
OR am I just needing to use a Ballast IF I am to use an actual HID for the DRL's ONLY?
and I only need to use a load resistor for the turn/stop lamps and front turn signals?
DRL's = 3157-CK, any particular # of LED count per bulb? 92+
Fog's = H11, any particular # of LED count per bulb? 68+
Rear Turn/Stop = 3157? or 7443?

Are these lamp numbers correct and which ones do I need to have a load resister on?

The more yellow factory fog lamps seem brighter in your photos. Is that how they actually perform?

Yep. I had even ( in the middle photo ), checked out the view of the brightness form the driver's seat at the front of my garage and the 'ol yellow seemed brighter at the same distance as the LED.

Yeah LEDs may appear bright to onlookers, but they can't compare to halogen or HID lamps in terms of the amount of light they cast on the road.

Also, the more yellow or amber the light output, the more effective they are in actually aiding vision in fog. ;)
