One of the things I like about my 2001 Park Avenue is that it has load levelers on the rear suspension (to keep a loaded car level) and a pollen filter to filter the air brought into the cabin (my wife has allergies). Does anyone know whether the Enclave will have these features?

I know the Enclave does have some type of cabin air filter. I don't know as to what level it filters the air, but I would assume that it isn't HEPA or anything, probably just a basic $2 air filter. There is zero in the manual about it, but my dealer did say it has a cabin air filter. There is a lot of pollen where I live in the spring time, so I need to research where it is located and see if I might be able to replace it myself. I know my wife's Toyota car has a cabin air filter, which can be accessed in the glove box. I haven't really looked in the Enclave's glove box, so I will check that out today. Cheers!

100 bucks for any air filter is a little overpriced unless you are dealing with performance products. The HEPA air filter on my Dyson vacuum is only like 30 bucks. The most expensive air filter I can buy at Lowe’s for my home’s AC is only like 80 bucks. I wouldn't believe Honda is using better air filters than a 500 dollar vacuum. Japanese manufacturers always overcharge for replacement parts.

As for the pollen air filter, the thread that 2 Much just referred to says it all. Some early '08 had a removable slide out tray. ( you had to drop glove box several inches and pinch some tabs together) You could lay a filter mesh of your choice, on top of the worthless, large gap, metal screen in there. BUT, many late '08 have a diff set-up, as shown in the aforementioned thread! No filtration seems possible :banghead:

Have any members with an '09 dared to look behind the curtain, er, glove box, to see if the magic filter-screen is inside the pull-out tray?? recco looking at pix on that thread first.

Tralfaz, any insights for '09??? I see nothing in print......

As for load-levelers, my Caddy SRX had them and I heard them inflate on occasion, but never really felt a need for them? NOT available on Enclave, but honestly, I've exceeded GVW limits by about 150 lbs, with 6 adults and 500 lbs of luggage, on a 40 mile airport run, with no problems at all! Yes it rode a little lower and stiffer. Not bad at all however! I made sure my tire pressures were at MAX + 2 lbs, above the factory reccos on the driver door label. (those are a compromise for normal handling/comfort) Very important with these unusual loads!

I checked my 09 behind the glove box & its sealed. No way to open it.I pulled & pushed, it didn't move.Looks like it is molded to the case. :(

Grand National,

I've been meaning to check mine also. Just haven't had a chance yet. You can't find any clips to pop it out? How would the dealer change the filter, if he could? I'll e-mail my salesman and see if he knows any info on the 2009s and report back.
