Finally I got a call from local dealer that they have an Enclave on the floor. I rushed out early from work to stop by and check it out.

Here is my first impression.....

Enclave looks great from outside except from front! From bumper level the front looks so attractive that I have the front 3/4 picture as wallpaper on 3 of my computers. But that attractive look changes to a gooffy look from the stand up level, those big headlights and gigantic grill look funny. All other sides of the vehicle look fabulous, the lines flow very neatly in front and back, I love how roof slopes towards the rear. I wish they had done a better job with the front.

I am a little disappointed with the hard plastic used in the interior. I was hoping it to be better than the plastic used in Acadia but it is the same. Buick is trying to compete with Lexus but I dont think the material used on the console meets or even come close to a Lexus. My 2001 Pathfinder has softer plastic even after 6 years of sun beating.

Overall all I am in love with the Acadia and Enclave, especially the leather on the seats is very soft and comfortable. My only gripe is about the plastic, it doesnt feel right for a 45,000 vehicle. The plood is so shinny, in a way it is shouting... hey look at me I am fake! The steering wheel looks and feels much better.

The floor model I saw had Titanium interior, there was so many different colors/material on the dash and center console that it looked awkward to me. You have titanum dash, then it meets with a chrome trim then comes the plood after that another strip of chrome, titanum plastic again. At the center console, The Nav system had all black surround trim. I like Acadia's dash and console 100 times better, may be because the Acadia's interior was Ebony and hence everything kind of matched except the chorme trim which looked decent on it.

I am taking a test drive on Thursday, the drive must really do some magic to win me back otherwise I will be going to get an Acadia. hno:

I had a similar feeling on the plastic feel. I do not like the Titanium interior in the Acadia and I'm not an Ebony person. I have yet to find an Enclave with Cashmere but have seen it in a Buick car.

So till then stay tuned. I have seen the pictures in the Gallery but not exactly the same as in person but close.

YES i feel the same way!!! I remember last fall when i found the acadia online and then the enclave!! I was soooo excited and i cant believe that i have made it this far without seeing an enclave in person! I was soooo mad when i found out that we were going to be out of town when the auto show came! hno:

LINCOLN HAS THE WHITE CHOCOLATE AND IT IS AWESOME. I BET THE WHITE DIAMOND TRICOAT IS PROBABLY THE SAME.

I have one vehicle that's White Diamond, and it was beautiful when I bought it, and it's still beautiful today. Some colors just seem to stand out and are more appealing than others. If I had a brand new car with an ugly color, I wouldn't have it long.:blob:

By the way the one I saw was Red Tint. I love that color on the Acadia, I will check it out how it looks on the Enclave under the sun tomorrow. Inside the showroom it looked OK.

Guys - I know you're growing impatient, but it's not really GM's fault you got interested in this thing before it hit primetime! I mean, they have had the same schedule all along. In fact, originally, the Encalve was suppsoed to debut "late Summer" - that's August/Sept. So if anything, they are pushing UP the release schedule from a year ago. Again, don't blame your lack of patience on Buick! hehe

By the way I stopped by at another Buick dealer he has one but stripped down CX FWD in Blue Crystal or Platinum, there was no window sticker and the Salesman was clueless but still trying to sell it to me!

It didnt look as bad from front as the Red one did, which I mentioned in my thread. May be since the RED was very dark and the bright lights and the grill was over coming the front. This platinum (or blue gold) was looking pretty good infact and they had a Liquid Silver Acadia there as well, the Enclave was definitely looking much better. :beer:

I finally got to see an Enclave this weekend. It was an ordered car, so I could not test drive it. The front of the car does have a grin. My two boys who are 7 and 8 thought it was "cool". It reminded the older one of a character from the movie Cars (i.e., "Lightning McQueen"). The car we saw was Red with the titanium interior. Although, I have ordered the cocoa and cashmere forour cars interior and diamond white outside, the titanium looked nice also with the red. The rear door inpressed me with the almost 7 feet of clearance. The instrument panel with five dials look nice along with the curved lines both inside and out. Did not see if it had a temperature guage for outside?

South Florida is finally getting a few in with one dealer in the south part of our county test driving one and already advertising a "discount" with trade in. Did not go down there because of the Holiday.

I think it looks very nice and with the blue headlights (the kids really like that most of all!), it is very unique for its class and gets the young ones seal of approval.
