Can you save multiple locations (like yahoo maps) a recall them later or do you have to input start and finish points each time you use it? If so, how many can you store?

Yes, I guess up to 50. I am still learning though, ( just have it for less than two days.)

What you are describing sounds like a "destination" (an address you want to use). I browsed the Nav manual for the Acadia. I cannot find any limits on the number of "destinations" you can have (in your nav Address Book).

I would note I don't think you can enter a new destination while in motion (out of [P]ark).

I'm sure there is a limit of 25-50 "previous destinations" stored. I love the "address book" as a saved address can be selected while driving!!! (by a passenger, of course!) Not so w/ new addresses entered!

I have asked in different forums, but jsut found this one and it is probably the one to ask.
In my pilot, I can enter data underway via touch screen. I understand that on the enclave you cannot do this. BUT, can you enter data by voice command while underway. Say I am ready to stop for the night and I want to query several area motels to ascertain amenities and price. On my pilot, I ask for motels in the vicinity of Podunk Junctrion and the system gives me a list of motels in that town. Understand the safety issue for touch screen, but that would not be an issue with voice command. So, will mother GM let me do that?

No, you currently can't enter a destination by voice. You can push the OnStar button, have them find the location you want and download the route directly to your vehicle. Turn by Turn navigation will then direct you to your destination. This OnStar service is included with the Enclaves OnStar package. I recommend that everyone try it at least once. You will love it (especially if you don't have the nav system in the vehicle). It is available on all Enclaves.

I'm not sure(wife has the truck!) but I think you can ask for a list of Hotels/restaurants/ATM's, etc, by voice, if you press the speak button on steering wheel. I believe they're called POI's. (points of interest)

However, even if correct, you now see some hotels/restaurants on your "flight plan "screen, but you'd have to call to check price/room availability. You could do this all solo, w/ the trucks hands free calling (or your own cell phone) or like stated above , get On star involved. I like to do it solo, if possible.
Just my 2 cents.
