I noticed in a couple of posts (thanks gmoney and others) the dark crimson metallic and carbon flash metallic have suddenly arrived as new color options "available later"....I take it that this revelation came from the brochure? Has this been noted anywhere else? When exactly is "later" likely to be for these colors?

Like many I am sure, the issue of the Enclave not offering black was a huge issue for me....this is very exciting news that they would decide to address this obvious gap in their color options....just hope it is not going to be too long to arrive...

Anything else new that we did not realize was coming?....

It was stated by a very reliable source on the Acadia forum that the 2008 models would be dropping Carbon Metallic and replacing it with a new color - "Carbon Black Metallic", which everyone is speculating to be much closer to a pure black on the GMC. I would guess that "Carbon Flash Metallic" could be Buick's name for the same color...?

I think if you go to a Buick dealer and look at the Enclave color poster it will have the 3 digit color code associated with it (such as 87U or something like that). I think this color code is universal to GM products, regardless of the color name. If you can find another vehicle with the same three digit code you can look at it for comparison.

Probably gives us a pretty good idea of what the color would look like. You can click on "see more images" if you scroll down to the image of Bon Jovi in front of the vehicle to then see a few full size shots of the Outlook in this color.

wbj - great find, but that pic makes the color look pretty much exactly like 2007's Carbon Metallic. It's very hard to tell with those pics though - the two real pics are night shots, in which even my carbon metallic looks black. And the photoshopped pics still make it look grey.

I know it is a photoshop picture, but the 'On Line Order Guide' for the 2008 Cadilac SRX shows a new color, Black Cherry (12U), that looks to be similar to the Buick's new Dark Crimson Metallic.
