Same here. 1100 and not moving. Also have the Luxury Package.
The phrase "Klaatu barada nikto" originates from the 1951 Cold-War-era science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still. The phrase "Gort! Klaatu barada nikto!" was used to stop Gort, the robot in the film, from destroying the Earth.
There is no known translation for the phrase, although "Klaatu" is the name of the humanoid alien protagonist in the film, and "nikto" is Russian for "nobody / no one."
Haha we did that book in English Class last year. We read the book and turned it into a scene of a movie, which our class filmed. Best English project (and idea) EVER! The whole school was jealous cause while they were all doing essays and book reports we were running around the halls with video cameras! Good times...comiccolec said:Klaatu
I like your name and the meaning is not lost on me. However it is ironic as we see GM moving so slow that is seems it is "The day GM stood still"
We ordered 6/11 and have been sitting at status 1100 for the last 5 weeks. I almost went ahead with the financing based on the tired "6-8 weeks" line that most dealers have been giving out, but decided to hold off until I hear that it's acutally in production. Don't know about your finance company but our company will hold the deal for 6 weeks from approval.Klaatu Barada Nikto said:Today, I called my dealer for an order (with PCK) update & like others around this land was sung the same song as last time I tried two weeks ago. No idea when to expect. Can't even give me a status code. Today was the end of the 8 week promised wait peroid for my vehicle (5/29 order).
My dealer has told me that eliminating the lux package from my order would likely increase the notion of them pulling my order for production & hopefully speed things up although he could not guarantee this. He had a customer three weeks ago do the same thing & his vehicle is being shipped now.
Anxiety of a financing check expiration date looming (8/21) & all this crap for $925.00 on a 40K vehicle. Had them take out the PCK. Not worth it if you have to be held hostage for eight plus weeks & no info. Will take my chances on thsi new approach.
Perhaps other frustrated souls in this forum should consider this, too. Get rid of the PCK from your orders.
:blob :banghead:
Congratulations, yfd!! You will be one of the lucky ones!!! :cheers:Ordered July 18 called dealer today said it's going to production on August 20
