Went to the local Pep Boys and found out they don't stock AC Delco PF48 oil filters. They did have a Purlator PureOne replacement. Anyone else notice this? I tend to do my own oil changes and don't usually go to the dealer for parts.

I found one at the first auto parts store I checked. Maybe it was luck.

I have around 70 in stock in my store and have not found a shortage at all. I buy directly from gm as a wd. They also fit most of the engines in the new Silverado pickup's, so I wouldn't think that there will be any problem. Go to acdelco.com and look for your nearest retailer. ACDelco does not do business with at lot of the big box auto part stores, Pep Boys, Auto Zone, O'Reilly's and the like, although ocassionally some do find ther way there. They are pretty good about only letting their WD's, dealer's and TSS repair shops have access to Delco parts at this time.

Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts in Lakeville, MN - although I suspect that won't help most people.

Well that filter or its match was difficult to find in my area as well today. First store I went to had a shelf label for the AC delco but was empty, didnt really want the AC Delco one anyway. They did not have the matching Mobil or KN filter in stock. They did have frame but I dont like Fram. Second store I went to didnt have the AC Delco or KN but they did have the Mobil filter.
