Is it possible or has anyone programed the Side Mirrors to fold automatically when you remove the key or shut off the engine?

I already looked in to it. Its not possible. You have to do it manually to fold them.
Yeah, thats what I did, I carefully read the page a couple of times to ensure that I am not missing it. I really want to program them so they automatically fold, instead me pressing the button everytime. :banghead:
Hey insiders, can we have this option on a future software update? It's always a hassle pushing a shopping cart in a crowded parking lot only to be stopped by a protruding mirror. If Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW can have this feature, you definitely should have this as well. Plus, it adds to the "cool factor", you know what I mean?
the more i think about this option i wouldn't want the mirrors to fold as soon as i took the key out as i use my side mirrors for precautionary measures. i would prefer to push button to fold them in after i have checked all around me.
Maybe it should be an option like curb assist that is configurable via the Driver Information Center.
now that would be nice comic then everyone will be happy.

congrats comic :dancing:
Or something like folding 'em when you lock the car with remote. I think this can be programmed easily in the software.
Excuse the ignorance but why does everyone want the mirrors to fold when the vehicle is off? They are higher than shopping carts, are they not? I haven't measured ours, but do the mirrors stick out much further than the fenders? Or is this a vandalism, someone accidentally hitting them when they walk between cars issue?

Please educate me.
I can think of a few reasons.

1) Tight parking in a garage
2) Provide more space to walk between cars without hitting the mirrors
3) To show off one of the many gadgets available in the Enclave.
4) Power Fold also adds the Auto-Dimming feature so that the car lights behind you don't blind you.
I just looked at the mirrors on our Montana today, and they seems to have a few scuffs on the outer edge. I don't know if it's because of careless driving, careless parking or careless shoppers, but I think that auto power folding mirrors might have reduced the number of scuffs and scratches on the mirror housing.

On a side note, I wish that GM would extend the turn signal strip so that it can be seen flashing when you are directly behind a Lambda, and not have to be 45 degrees from the Acadia/Enclave/Outlook to see the little flashing dot. It's bad enough that the turn signals and brake lights are the same bulb (horrible cost cutting), but you can't even see the turn signal mirror flash, while on other cars (VW, MB, Subaru) you can.

I think you partially misunderstood my question (maybe not). I am not questioning the power folding mirror option. I like being able to fold them in when pulling into a tight garage, and I like the auto-dimming. I don't understand why you'd want them to fold when the vehicle is turned off. Numbers 2 and 3 could explain it I guess.
After giving the matter some thought, I've decided I am ok with pressing the button to fold in the outside mirrors only when I want to.

Unfortunately there is no other option but to press the button, so I will be doing the same.

The reasons for me are;

- Parking at work, I dont want people walking in between the cars and hitting the mirrors
- My driveway is quite narrow and has belgian blocks, while Enclave is a little wider than my Pathfinder, so with the Enclave in the driveway, there is less room for people to walk to the house. I will be adding pavers walkway next year and was wondering if the power folding mirrors could help till then AUTOMATICALLY.
