Pushbutton rear hatch operation

Being able to open and close the rear hatch at the push of a button is way cool! No more reaching, pulling, and having to negotiate the hatch with one hand while managing packages with the other. This car is spoiling me rotten!

The first time I saw one was on an SRX in our dealer's showroom. I opened the liftgate and lo and behold, there was a button on it. I pressed it, the car beeped, then the lights flashed, then it started closing, without me touching it! And I thought power sliding doors were cool (Those are so yesterday!)! Now I regret not researching on a car with a power liftgate.

Another nice thing, is that if you want to manually close it but you don't completely shut it the first time (like it still moves a little but seems latched), the motor will assist in pulling it shut completely. That's why when you pull the hargle to open it, you hear the motor come on for a second or two. I tried this in the SRX while i way playing with it. I lifted it up a little, let go, then the motor assisted it shut. I also noticed alot of the Mercedes-Benz SUVs (even without the power liftgate feature) have the assist. I remember the first day we brought our Montana after we dropped my brother off somewhere he didn't close the liftgate properly, so the whole way home the DIC kept telling us that it was open and the interior lights were on the whole way. It's these little things that make me think, "wow I'm glad I got this car" or "Why the heck didn't I get this option" or "why didn't I get that other car!?!"

I know exactly what you mean. And I was already high maintenance. This can't be good.
I'm kinda, well, petite, and this feature has me very excited. When I used the telescoping wheel on the test drive I took, well, that was way cool as well. Having the wheel just in that exact place makes the driving experience perfect. :thumb:
Picked up a set of queen size split box spring set from a local store. Each with a dimension of 80x30x10 inches

Enclave was perfect for the job. I backed in to the delivery area, open the hatch from inside 8) the guy asked, me "what is it? I have never seen this before" I replied "It's a Buick!" anyways he looked very impressed and volunteered himeself to move the front passenger seat for the tiny bit space we needed.

This is my wife's vehicle, and for the first time in my life I am so happy that she goes to work only 2 days a week! Meaning I get more days to drive it to work! I love it.

Now the only problem is, since I leased it, I am already worried what am I going to get after I turn this in JUST 39 months :(

Like BigLarry I am getting spoiled and It hasn't been a even a week yet!!!

Easy answer! You will get the 2011 Model Enclave with the HUD, Single Color Body Style, with more electronic options than what is available now.

By then you should be able to get the factory installed Satelite TV with 2nd row 22" Flat Panel monitor, the optional cargo area refrigerator, and the extended life Li-ion Fuel Cell based electrical containment unit (battery) for the hybrid version of the vehicle. Also if you order the CNMF Package option (California,New Mexico, Florida) you can raise and lower the vehicle's suspension to the beat of 20.1 surround sound THX stereo XM/Sirius receiver.

I will personally want the nitrogen generator with 4 wheel pressurization kit installed in mine. And I want the latest single spoke platinum coated rims with programmable LED marquee lighting.

I would also like depending on cost the night vision front camera, lane monitoring, auto parking, laser cruise control intergrated into the NAV system. I should be able to get in the seat, program my NAV have it drive me to where I want to go while I eat, sleep or watch TV on my satelite receiver. I would think by then we will also have highspeed utlra-wide band internet available in the 2011 Enclave.

Or maybe that is just my wishlist .....you decide.

I have an Enclave and an SRX; the thing about the SRX (2007) is that there is not a button in the drivers compartment to open the hatch as there is with the Enclave/Acadia.

You know, as outrageous as this post was 7+ years ago, there are a few features he/she nailed.
