Questions about conquest cash and GM Card rewards

6577 Views 20 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  fenwah
I plan to order an Enclave in the next few months. I currently own a Cadillac and a Chrysler and I do not plan on trading in either one. Would just showing my owner's card for my Chrysler qualify me for conquest cash even though I already own another GM vehicle? I tried to search the rules and it just says proof of ownership of a non-GM vehicle. If I traded in the Caddy, would that make me ineligible even though I can show proof of ownership of a non-GM vehicle? If I am eligible, at what point in the sale do I hit the salesperson with this? After the deal is made and a price is agreed?

My second question has to do with the GM card rewards. Does anyone know what the reward limit is for the Enclave? I'm hoping it is more than $1,000.

Thanks

You need to think about ordering sooner rather than later and allow 8 to 10 weeks for delivery. The conquest rebate expires on July 9. The car must be sold and delivered to you by that date (unless GM extends the offer). You don't have trade the non-gm vehicle. Just show them proof of ownership. Additionally, once we get into June, Enclave production will be competing directly with 2008 Acadia and Outlook production. There are several posts on this, but I believe they only produce 1 product at any given time.

I ordered 2 weeks ago and expect a July delivery. I am not eligible for conquest because 1) I don't own a non-gm vehicle and 2) I am using supplier pricing.
The amount of GM car rewards depends on the type of GM card you have. YES, there are more than one. The best way to know is to call the GM redemption center.

I was able to use my entire amount $3716. But the newer cards may have the $1000 limit.
Hey Carnutpa, I got my Enclave today. I traded my Ranier in on it but I was given the $1000.00 conquest discount because I have a 2005 Tbird. All they asked for was a copy of my registration with my correct mailing address on the registration. This is the finest SUV I have had. It is so quiet and comfortable and so hot looking. Already I have a couple of friends who are interested in them. I have the Cocoa metallic CXL, AWD fully loaded. I may sleep in it tonight.
Congrats Buick59 ! :blob:
I was so excited I couldn't sleep the first night!!!

Congrats Buick59, you will love it.
Thanks guys, I tried to make myself wait a few months but I could not stand it any longer. Like many of you I have waiting for this vehicle for 18 months. I collect classic cars so there are not many new cars I get excited about. First time I saw a photo of one then the actual concept last March I was hooked. I just drove to Taco Bell and cannot believe the oscilating headlights. It is amazing how much more you see when making turns. Congrats to all you fellow owners and good luck to the rest while waiting for yours. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
Agree, They are even better than the HID's in my RX8. I was able to see 3 deer probably 3X the distance I would've in my POS Chrysler T&C minivan, which had maybe the worse headlights known to mankind.

YOU SHOULD HAVE ALSO GOTTEN THE GM LOYALTY DISCOUNT.
In a lot a of cases the discounts are not additive. If you get on eyou don't get the others, etc...

Are you sure the vehicle must be delivered to get the conquest cash? I've heard from several sources that as long as GM issues a VIN#, dealer can go into the system and apply the $1k.

Just because the dealer can do something doesn't mean the dealer actually will do it. :-\
LOYALTY DISCOUNT is $500 here
When I told the salesman that I wanted to use my GM card earnings he ran it through the computer and it said there was a $1,000 cap. Since I have the old card I should have been able to use the full earnings amount ($1930). I took out my cell phone and called GM customer service from the dealership and the rep confirmed that I should be able to use all $1930 toward the purchase. However, she wouldn't give them an authorization code over the phone. She referred them to the automated system. And again, they were told $1,000. After an hour, they were able to get an authorization code over the phone.

If anyone has the old card be aware that the system may default to a $1,000 cap. Let your dealer know that the cap is an error.

BTW, the "carsuvan" is great. Burt sends his love. I have to practice parking. :wine:

Buick Loyalty and Conquest Cash rebates are not stackable with each other. Also GM Card center is great for telling customers they will do something but it rarely gets passed on to the dealer and the dealer is not going to credit you any extra refund until they receive the auth # for that amount. ENCLAVES ARE SELLING LIKE HOTCAKES. Some dealers will not honor supplier discounts because of the low margin of profit they receive for the transaction.

Low margins for supplier discounts? What is the net profit that we know about with supplier discounts?
Total dealer profit on a $43,000 vehicle sold at supplier price is approx $1738 compared to $3985 profit at MSRP
So the invoice price is not what the dealer pays. Cause the Supplier Price for the one I put together came with in $500-$600 over Invoice from Edmunds.
