My name is Larry Milhako. I am the vehicle performance manager for the Buick Enclave. And I'm here this evening to talk to you about QuietTuning™ -- the process and parts that we use to make the Enclave very very quiet. At Buick we believe that a premium vehicle should be very very quiet in sound operation. and further that quiet operation demonstrates in a very tangible way that a vehicle is of high quality. Our vehicle is quiet because a lot of attention was paid to the details...[/color]

I just spent about 18 minutes listening to a great presentation on Buick QuietTuning™ in the Enclave. I recommend finding a quiet room and a good pair of headphones. The speaker really knows what he is talking about. Listen to side by side professional recordings of the interiors of Enclave vs Mercedes M350, Lexus R350, and Acura MDX (I am not revealing the order of the recordings so you can be surprised). One "Side by Side" is done on "rough concrete" conditions at 35MPH, the other is done in a wind setting (wind tunnel?). I learned so much from this video. This is the presentation (to auto writers) that lead to all the reviews claiming Enclave is quieter than Luxury crossovers from Lexus, Acura, and Mercedes.

Yes, I watched this before too. It's still fairly hard, after Youtube uploading and such to get the real effect...but you certainly notice a difference in many of the examples.

Or just go drive/ride in an Enclave and get the full effect. It's really incredible, especially for a big open tunnel of a body--which is always the hardest to refine from a noise perspective.

Very quiet, but can it be too quiet? Drove home last night about 150 miles, the car is so quiet, so easy to drive, so comfortable it was hard to stay awake. Since I am posting this today, I obviously did. What a road car this is!

The seminar on the Enclave had many sessions over several days. Here are a few of the other presentations. I wish they had been able to put a microphone on the speakers. They are still very informative (even though it gives me a headache to filter out the background noise).
