I just picked up a 2012 LaCrosse, and wondering if anybody can recommend the best LaCrosse or Buick forum. Thanks!

Good for you mtrot! Glad to know that you kept it in the Buick family!
Here is something that is layed out similar to our Enclave site; http://buickforums.com/forums/forums/37-Buick-LaCrosse-Forum-(Allure)

Or one that isn't so much like this site.

Or a site that offers something for anyone with a Buick:

Thanks very much! I looked at those sites, and I didn't see any threads pertaining to what I am trying to find out.

What I am looking for is how to get to that "Home" screen on the "infotainment" system, which I believe is similar to the 2013-2016 Enclave systems. The 2012 LaCrosse brochure shows the "Home" screen, which has eight options from which to choose, such as Pandora, XM, Bluetooth, Phone, ect. For the life of me, I cannot find how to get to that screen.

Congrats, it's a sharp looking car! I am glad you avoided a 2015, it and the XTS have the airbag recall with no fix....

As I recall when driving the Lacrosse (test drive), the quality was nice, like the Encore and Verano, a newer generation than the Enclave (clamshell around the rearview mirror instead of exposed wires was an immediate clue).

Happy motoring! :thumb:

I didn't know that GM had any defective airbags in their 2015 cars. The only information I was able to find shows that 395 cars across various models have a side impact air bag which may be faulty. The recall was issued in October of 2015.

Do you have more information showing a greater number, or why they can't be fixed?

It appears there was one batch of air bags which was defective, and those were being recalled to be replaced. The 395 recalled air bags were installed in some 2015 LaCrosse, XTS, Camaro, Equinox, Malibu, and Terrain.

Loving my 2011 LaCrosse (coming up on 2 years in September) so far. Since it has basically the same engine as the Enclave, be ready for a possible leaky water pump. Just had mine replaced 200 miles before the btb was up.

The Lacrosse definitely in my mind represents what people think of when they think, Buick. If I'm not mistaken, it can have that auto stop/start feature but maybe with a 4 cyl. motor...

Yes, maybe with the 4 cylinder. Mine is a top of the line 2012 Touring model with 73,000 miles, which I got for $16,800. I am also purchasing a First Guard Ultimate protection plan which covers pretty much everything and runs for 4 years/51,000 miles. The plan costs $1900 and has a $100 deductible per visit. So, for around $18,700, I got a top of the line sedan for around half the price of buying a new vehicle.

I think an equivalent 2016 LaCrosse would run around $45,000 and have a 4 year/50,000 mile warranty. For 2012, Buick upgraded the 3.6L engine to 303hp. Even a new top of the line Malibu or Accord would cost $38,000 and would not have some of the features of my LaCrosse, such as the head up display, Sport and Touring mode suspension, DVD-Audio player, just to name a few.

Very nice! I had forgotten how potent the LaCrosse's powertrain[/color] was compared to other Buick models. I also didn't appreciate how well equipped it is versus the Enclave. Again, very nice! Enjoy it!
